English Village Hall Fete Pink Floral Wedding - Whimsical...

via

I grew up in a village and haven't ventured far away at all. I love the country and village life, it's so very special. So I do adore featuring a village wedding, with a couple walking from the Church to the village hall as couples have done for perhaps hundreds of years before.

Amy and Will decided on a village wedding and chose to tie the knot on the 2nd May 2015. Rotherwick Village Hall is super quaint and with outdoor space for their fete games too, it was just the perfect setting for their reception. There was a pink floral theme throughout, with fresh pastel blooms, maids in print frocks and a sweet fabric table plan.

Amy wore a stunning Phase Eight gown with her hair in natural waves, while the boys were suited and booted in traditional attire. Oh so lovely.

Eclection Photography, many thanks for sharing your darling imagery today.

THE PROPOSAL | On Chesil Beach Dorset during a camping trip.

THE VISION | English village wedding.

THE VENUE | Rotherwick Village Church followed by reception at Rotherwick Village Hall. Rotherwick is a small village near to Will's parents house in Hampshire. We have always loved the village and spent a lot of time doing country walks and ending up and the village pub the Coach and Horses which is where Will met the guests prior to the ceremony. We had always thought that Rotherwick village hall would be a great venue for a party and the benefit of having a beautiful old English church so close by made us choose to have have our wedding in this village. Not having to worry about transporting guests from church to reception venue was such a bonus and the walk from the church to the village hall was lovely. As Amy's dad is an artist he sketched the church which was used on the front of invitations and order of service which was a very special and personal touch.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Phase Eight

FINDING THE DRESS | I knew I wanted a dress from the high street from either Monsoon or Phase Eight so I kept popping in throughout the year until I found the right one.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Austin Reed.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | Carries Poem (sex and the city), Songs of Solomon. The Function Band.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Brides sisters Lydia and Helen wearing Phase Eight.

THE FLOWERS | Flowers by mother of the groom and bouquets by Moutan (Hartley Wintney).

THE CAKE | Warings Bakery (Hartley Wintney).

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Heather Shuker (Brighton Photo) Now Eclection Photography. Heather had done my close friends photographs and we loved her arty style and the way the photos were natural and not too posed.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Mostly done ourselves, helped by Pretty Vintage Things (Reading).

THE HONEYMOON | Singapore and Bali.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | It would be hard to pick one highlight of the day as we loved it all, but the ceremony in the church was really special and dancing to the band in the evening was so much fun. The whole day worked so well and was very informal and relaxed which was the vibes everywhere were aiming for.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Try not to get too stressed with the planning as the small details really don't matter and enjoy every moment of the day especially having all the people you love all together.
