Today on Wedding Friends we are featuring an Open Image spectacular. This wedding took place at Bush Fellows Lodge in Limpopo. A typical bush wedding with a modern and romantic touch. We congratulate Liaan and Robynne on putting together a stunning wedding. The couple is sharing their story.

{I Propose} - Elaborate on how the two of you met or on how the proposal went down.

Liaan used my birthday as a ruse to cook a romantic meal without raising my suspicions - it didn't work though, I was still expecting a proposal.

As we were eating, I kept expecting him to pop the question, but it didn't happen. After dessert, he gave me my birthday present - Jenna Clifford vouchers - which, normally, would have been a fantastic gift! But, because I was expecting an engagement ring, I felt really disappointed. After dinner we had some wine and eventually Liaan announced that he had an early day the next day and he was going to bed. After he went to the bedroom, I did a couple of things in the kitchen, feeling the most disappointed that any person has ever felt. When I turned to leave the kitchen, there he was, on his knee with most beautiful engagement ring I've ever seen!

{Bride & Prejudice} - Express some memorable experiences you had during the planning.

The planning was pretty much smooth sailing, thanks to our wedding planner. The only part where we were involved to a substantial extent was ensuring we had lots and lots of empty wine bottles to use as candle holders on the tables - we had to do quite a bit of drinking but, in the end, we managed to get enough bottles and had some to spare.

{My Fair Wedding} - Describe an event that you feel was unique or even funny.

It was a weekend in the bush with our closest family & friends. A time to celebrate life and love!

{Don't Tell The Bride} - Reveal something that happened behind the scenes.

We had printed the words to a hymn on the order-of-service. Just before the wedding, we realized the words were wrong. We decided to leave the order-of service like that, relying on the fact that people would know the words as it is a well-known hymn. We were wrong. If anything else happened or went wrong behind the scenes, our wedding planner dealt with it and I was happily unaware.
