Genevieve & Andrew's chic waterside wedding is nothing short of beautiful glamour as the couple marry in two of Sydney's most iconic locations. The ease of their day, evident in their smiles and laughter is beautifully told through their words. They worked with Blumenthal Photography to capture their day.

Genevieve starts their story off with the tale of how they met. "Andrew and I are actually high school sweethearts. We've had eyes on each other since we were 14 years old! I remember sitting in classes with him and I would be laughing nonstop! He was always so fun and energetic which I really loved about him and even now I don't go a day where he doesn't make me crack up. It's also great that I have all of these memories with him, and I can't wait to create even more new ones."

The bride wore a gown by , remarking, "My main priority when choosing my dress was to have something classic and timeless which wouldn't age when we looked back on our wedding photos. I'm also not a huge fan of the big Princess dresses and wanted something quite flowy and slim fitting. I've been a huge fan of Reem Acra's past collections - her dresses are just so sophisticated! Luckily I found a dress that I fell in love with almost immediately. It was the right amount of timeless elegance and glamour!"

Genevieve chose Israel Kamakawiwo'ole "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for her walk down the aisle.

Genevieve and Andrew chose Royal Botanic Gardens for their ceremony, which was officiated by Leanne Rose. The bride remembers, "I loved that our ceremony was in the Botanical Gardens as this gave a really lovely natural and rustic feel. The most important thing for Andrew and I was to just have fun, finally, relax and really enjoy absolutely every moment! We wanted the wedding day to have a relaxed feel where everyone could just have fun and be themselves."

Girl Friday Weddings were on hand as wedding planners to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Of their photographer, Genevieve tells, "Blumenthal Photography were absolutely fantastic. We chose them because of how good they are at capturing natural moments which aren't so posed. Also, because most of the wedding was outdoors - it was important that we had a photographer who knew how to utilise natural lighting."

The couple chose harbourside venue Simmer on the Bay for their reception, telling, "Simmer on the Bay had stunning décor that was very modern and somewhat industrial."

Andrew's mother printed the patterned fabric and made the wedding cake, the bride telling, "The most special details would have been all of the DIY elements from Andrew's mother! They turned out absolutely beautiful and were so on point with our theme. We really just appreciated her help so much because seeing as the venue was quite understated - it was important that we decorated it with enough elements to show our personality."

"We loved all of the help from our family, my bridesmaids, the hilarious speeches, crazy dancefloor moves that were being busted out and of course - seeing Andrew at the end of the aisle."

Congratulations Genevieve and Andrew! Thank you for taking the time to share your day with us! Thank you also to Blumenthal Photography.
