Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

From across the dance floor, his spellbound smile and handsome silhouette immediately caught my attention. There was an almost instant unprecedented attraction. Finally he slowly made his way over to my table and asked me to dance. With his gentle touch, soft musky cologne and skilful grace, he swept me of my feet that night. It was with something as precious as a shared interest, that we started our life dance that night. Unexpected romance, blooming on a cold winters evening with old time favourite lyrics echoing through the crowd of people, announced the moment in time where our hearts met.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

It was our first 'couple only' trip to the West Coast. One beautiful evening, after a scrumptious local sun downer snoek braai in St' Helena's Bay, Jacques took me sight seeing all along the coast line. Arriving at Langebaan, the moon casted a magical shimmer across the lagoon and we decided to go for a stroll on the beach. I waited quietly, staring into the mystical waves as Jacques went to fetch the camera from the car. When he started talking right behind me, I turned around, jaw-dropping unexpected surprise! Down on one knee with a dazzling diamond in the palm of his hand, he asked me to be his wife.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

hey say that true love does not come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person, perfectly. . .

After eight magical years of being together, the deepest love and emotions for each other on our fairy-tale day was overwhelming - something that cannot be explained or described, but only felt within the heart. In that breath-taking moment we knew that the joining of our two hearts was perfectly planned by Our Heavenly Father and that the path that led us to this incredible journey was not co-incidental.

Getting married is such a deep, personal and cherished experience. It takes hold of all your senses while sweeping you away to a place where, for that moment in time (and a few weeks thereafter), nothing else matters except the two of you.

I have chosen to spend the rest of my life with a compassionate and committed man who loves me for who I am. We have found perfection in our imperfect ways. I am truly blessed and know that I have married my soul mate and my best friend, a man my dad would be proud of.
