California Apple Orchard Wedding: Jen + Jim

California Apple Orchard Wedding: Jen + Jim

via

We can't think of a better way to start this Wednesday than with Jen + Jim's insanely cute apple orchard wedding designed by Heather + the team from Amorology. Since J + J met while working as managers for Trader Joe's, Heather played up their story with lots of fun nods to love in a grocery store. Seriously, just wait 'til you see!

Aside from the playful TJ's details, the florals, palette, and design plan were totally on point. Heather tells us, Blush, coral, and peach florals from Sweet Marie Designs set the tone with touches of red and hunter green. The couple was surrounded by ladders filled with blooms and apples ripe from the picking as they read their vows. Of course we couldn't resist having as many apple-related items as possible, including a caramel apple martini specialty drink and mini Dutch apple pies in place of a traditional cake for guest favors and dessert.

So, so cute, right? We're pretty glad Brittany Dow Photography was there to beautifully capture this one!

Jen: My most memorable moment of our wedding when we were up in front saying our vows to each other. Marriage is very important to me and to make the promises Jim and I did to each other means the world to me. To hear his vows was such great moment for me because I know that he worked so hard on them to make sure they were perfect and he poured his heart into them. It was just another moment that I knew I was making a great choice in marrying him. At the time, though we had all 130 sets of eyes on us we were just there with each other and I will never forget how I felt during that moment. I am so lucky to be able to share the rest of my life with someone like him.

Jim: The first dance. It was our first dance as husband and wife and a moment for us to share with each other that was just us. It gave us time to reflect on everything that was happening around us and the all the hard work everyone had to put in to making our day the most memorable and best day we could have imagined.

Processional: All of Me - John Legend

Recessional: Best Day of My Life - American Authors

First Dance: I don't Dance - Lee Brice

More from Heather, We incorporated the Trader Joe's theme with paper bag invitations from Peanut Press and a sample bar of our own including caramel apples, mini pies, and the store's famous Cookie Butter. Our escort display read "Check Out Here" and featured apple pie filling cans with each guest's name and seating assignment. We encouraged guests to take "a walk down the aisle" to find their table numbers among the stacks of cans. Guests were favored with mini cutting boards that also doubled as place cards, and larger boards served as their table numbers.

The florals by Sweet Marie Designs couldn't have been any prettier!

Love those personalized cutting boards, too!

Planning a wedding is probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Trying to juggle what life throws at you to working full time and going to school was not an easy task. But remember that all the stress you felt and fights you will go through with your fiancée (you will have them whether you believe it or not) your wedding will be the best day of your life. It is a day that will remember forever. Even if certain things do not go the way you wanted them to you will make the best of it the day of to ensure you have a great time. Enjoy your new husband and all the amazing people that have joined you to celebrate your love.
