Maria and Juan, a lovely Rosa Clará wedding at the beach

Hello everyone! We want to share a different wedding, Maria and Juan decided to say "Yes I do" at the beach. She wore a Soft by Rosa Clará dress ideal for the occasion, all the decoration matched with the style of the wedding. We loved it!

If you want to get married at the beach this wedding can inspire you. It's full of details! In the interview she explains all of them!

Where was the ceremony held?

We got married at City hall in Esplugues del Llobregat on June 6 th of 2014. It was an intimate and simple ceremony and decided to be in company of our parents and sisters. Just today, I remembered with a big smile this day, the happiness that I felt, how the magic manifested in just 24 hours.

Where did you get ready for the big day?

We decided to get ready at our parent´s house, which three years ago was our home. We wanted to enjoy all the emotions and preparations with them! The night before, we said our goodbyes with a big smile and the look on our faces was... ohhh my god tomorrow I will see you at the altar! The countdown had begun!!

That night, the four of us [my parents, my dear sister and I] had dinner together like so many times before. My sister decided to stay over night and all the next morning accompanying me once again, as she had done all of my life.

After dinner, nothing copious, we were accomplices of what would happen the next day, we had friendly conversations and watched a movie, in an effort to unleash my nerves.

Next day I woke up and I was so relaxed, like my body had no weight. I had a good sensation because I was so nervous with all preparations, but it was true, I felt relaxed but my parents and my sister were so nervous and they didn´t stop at all!! With a delicious breakfast full of vitamins, we set up with the tasks of the big day!! Now I remember the day like it was yesterday, I was so happy... I remember that there was a moment of tenderness in me, I was watching the being completed: my father making sandwiches, my mother ironing, my sister leaving makeup.... At that moment I threw myself into the arms of my mother who hugged me just like a mother knows how to embrace. I heard my sister saying: don't make me cry while they're putting on my makeup!!! When we recovered from that moment I went into the kitchen and I hugged my father... He hugged me so tenderly and said so many funny things that turned my tears into bursts of laughter. Then we returned to our positions! I took a deep breath to relax and enjoyed the moments that would unfold!!!

How did you feel when you saw yourself with your dress the day of the wedding?

That moment was like a movie!!! After I put the dress on and saw myself in the mirror, it felt like a dream... I started to jump in excitement. I felt sure of myself!! My mother, my sister and my two friends (they were my bridesmaids) they were waiting behind the curtains and were shouting, "let me see, let me see!!! We want to see you now!!!" When the clerk opened the curtain... they all gushed... "wowwww"!!!I was in shock because I was so happy!!! And it´s true, the feeling is unique when you find your dress, when you feel you are going to shine that day!!

How and where did you find your Rosa Clará dress?

I found my dress in Rosa Clarà Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona.

I was anxiously awaiting the release of the 2014 collection so I could view them on the website... I knew that my dress would be by Rosa Clarà and I went directly to the Soft collection. Among all of the dresses there were three that met my expectations. I copied the pictures and included them in my "Bride Dresses" power point.

What made you decide on the model you ended up choosing? Was it the dress you always imagined?

I am very hesitant on some things, but in that case it was the opposite. I knew which dress and the style I wanted.

The dress had to be one piece, I didn´t want a corset or cancan. I didn't want it to restrict me, I wanted my dress to just fall down my body, to feel me comfortable inside it, to allow me move naturally and it had to be my style.

When I saw the ULEMA model, the first of my candidates in my power point, I found that each of the requirements was met. I love the style, how comfortable it was even though it was covered in rhinestones, the crossed back straps gave a soft sensual touch that wasn't overdone, I LOVED the dress.

How did you accessorize? (shoes, jewellery)

I had a problem with my shoes; I didn't know exactly what I wanted but I knew what I didn't want.

had an obsession with a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals. They were silver espartos- very comfortable! I knew that this kind of shoe would be ideal due to the location of the reception. I bought the sandals, to my friend's disapproval. They were right so I were the sandals in the party.

I started to prove all types of shoes, and I knew that I didn´t want a white colour, so I went to all the shops in Barcelona trying to find my shoes. They had to be sandals and heel no more than 8-9 cm and of course with a little pep toe! In two weeks I had the testing dress and I continued without shoes and so nervous. In a few days a friend of mine told me that she found a shop with some beautiful models. But there were all white colours. So in the afternoon I went to the shop "Secretos de Novia" they had two models that I like and there was so comfortable. I needed a sandal shoe style. At last, I found the last complement. One shoe can change your life.

Only the dress was a jewel so I decided to ware only my engagement ring, a white gold earrings, there was a present of my parents just a few months before my wedding.

What type of flowers did the bouquet have? To whom did you give it to?

The bouquet was made out of pink and white peonies and some freesias. The florist of "Olivia Flors" (who was responsible for all of the floral decor) knows the kind of the bouquet that I wanted. I wanted only a few flowers tied with the same tulle used in my dress.

I gave the bouquet to my dear sister Laura, as a sign of undying affection, we have a precious relationship and I always want her to be by my side. My husband Juan gave my sister's boyfriend a couple from the Lego collection, as a hint that they might be next to marry!! The song "Boig per tu" played as we exchanged gifts and embraced them.

Where was the reception held?

Our reception was a big party, held on a charming beachfront restaurant called Restaurant Topical in Gavà. We chose this restaurant because it was a venue we really knew. We'd celebrated some family reunions there in the past. It was a dream to celebrate on the beach and the Tropical Restaurant was the first in the list.

Our wedding planner "Miss Little Things" decorated with romantic touches and glamorous décor inspired by Route66. They created the perfect ambiance!

We enjoyed the reception and partied in the upstairs restaurant, in a huge room with a terrace overlooking the beach.

Is there a special or fun moment you remember?

Special moments....I'd say there were a lot of them!!!! But I could add many more, for example when I gave to my mother, my bridesmaids and my aunt some beautiful corsages. The fine words that our sisters dedicated us.

The double-dance that surprised our guests! First we dance "knocking on heaven´s door" and immediately we danced the Pulp fiction choreography. It was so funny!!!

Later we had funny moments in the photocall with our friends, and in general all moments in that day were so special.

Could you tell us and advise to the future brides?

Enjoy every moment!!! nerves!!! All of the preparations and nerves are all important and special...!!! And be yourself!!!

Also, hire a wedding planner to help with decor and time management for the big day!!

Who was your photographer?

Xènia from "Say Cute", a brilliant professional, captured our best moments from the big day! She also shot our engagement shoot a few months before.
