WWW readers Jessica and Mark tied the knot on the 24 th May 2014 at Narborough Hall & Gardens followed by a reception at Cliff Barns where guests could stay over night in tipis. They envisioned a relaxed party set in the countryside with pure gold glamour.

There isn't much I don't adore about this day, from the gold sequin glitter décor and style choices to the cornflower blue and apricot florals and adorable flowergirls, it was all so divine.

Jessica was radiant in her custom made lace dress and cathedral length veil, while Mark donned a sharp blue suit and the bridesmaids sparkled. Amazing.

Thanks so very much to Katherine Ashdown Photography for sharing her images with us today and to Studeomedia for letting us take a peek at their gorgeous film...

THE PROPOSAL | Mark proposed to me in New York in 2008 on my 30 th Birthday. He had planned to propose to me whilst at the top of the Empire State Building, very romantically down on bended knee. However he got a touch of vertigo, or more likely a touch of nerves as it was so crowded !

So instead he proposed to me lying in bed in our hotel overlooking Central Park, afterwards we took a bike ride around the park which was magical. The most exciting & crazy part was going ring shopping in New York's Diamond District - if you've ever done it you know how crazy it is!

THE VISION | From the very beginning we knew we wanted a relaxed day, with time either side of the big day to spend with our close friends and family. We are quite a party family - so we knew that we were going to need a few days of celebration as well as the wedding day. That's why we chose our venue - it's quirky, unique and was big enough, with the addition of a few tipis for all our family & close friends to stay for 5 days.

Whilst we wanted a relaxed day, and a non-traditional relaxed venue I also knew from the get go that I wanted it to be glam ! I fell in love with gold, all permutations of it & loved it alongside apricot and cornflower blue colours.

I was so happy with the final result, particularly how all the bridesmaids' dresses looked together.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | I have to admit I was a bit baffled by it all to begin with! There is so much choice out there. Very early on we sat down and made decisions on the things that were important to us (photos, venue, food) & the things that weren't (cake, favours, cars). I'm really glad we did this because it really helped us focus on getting the important things right & not stress about the little things.

Our photographer has a Facebook group especially for her brides which I found invaluable. With such a huge array of wedding suppliers out there I found it extremely helpful to get real reviews from real brides & this really helped with the decision making.

The biggest thing for us was involving our little girl in the process as much as we could; she came to the venue viewings, food tastings, dress fittings, engagement shoot ! - you name she was there by my side & I loved every second of it.

THE VENUE | Ceremony Venue: Narborough Hall & Gardens. Narborough is stunningly beautiful, the grounds are just incredible & made for some beautiful photographs on the day. The flowers were in full bloom and look incredible in the wedding photographs. We had planned on an outdoor reception but the weather had other ideas. Luckily Narborough Hall is as beautiful inside as it is outside & the room had a wonderful intimate feeling.

Reception Venue: Cliff Barns - Narborough, Norfolk. Cliff Barns is unique & quirky. Everywhere you turn there is something new to look at. It sleeps 18 & has room for tipis or tents in the grounds. It was the perfect venue for us to be able to stay with all our friends and family for 5 days. The rooms are exquisite and all unique, there's a hot tub & even an array of fancy dress costumes which we had lots of fun with.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | I had my dress made for me. I had an idea of what I would like & took lots of cuttings of pictures with me on my first appointment. I knew that I needed something quite fitting because of my body shape & I absolutely wanted lace. I loved the idea of having a long train and also having a long veil. I loved the wedding dress experience, the dressmaker was a wonderful helpful lady who advised & guided me the whole way through the process.

My jewellery was by Swarovski - they had the perfect gold colour crystals that went so well with the gold theme. My shoes were by Faith - high street, inexpensive & super glam.

FINDING THE DRESS | Once I found the dressmaker - finding the dress for me was a really lovely experience, from the first fitting where the pattern was cut to the last where I tried it on with all my accessories.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Mark knew that he wanted a more informal modern style suit & not the traditional wedding attire. We loved the royal blue colour & thought that it would go so well with the colour scheme. We found it really difficult to find anywhere that hired modern style suits so we purchased them all from Moss Bros & Slaters.

Grooms Shoes - Jeffrey West. Grooms Accessories - Vivienne Westwood tie pin & cuff links.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | The ceremony music was really important to us. I am a massive Country Music fan & because of the overall theme & venue décor I just knew that I wanted that Country/Americana vibe to the day.

We chose the following songs for the ceremony: Dixie Chicks - Lullaby. The Lumineers - Ho Hey. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home.

We also had a local band play - 'The Lovin Handful' a 8 piece skiffle, indie, Americana band. They were incredibly fun & uplifting & really got everyone in the party mood.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Adult Bridesmaid (gold sequins) - Dress: Jenny Packham for Debenhams. I nearly nabbed this dress for myself I love it so much. She looked like a 50's film star.

Little Bridesmaids (pink sequins) - Dresses: Baker by Ted Baker. Flower Girl (my daughter): Dress: a combo of a Zara lace dress and a sequinned tutu by Loola and Goo.

THE FLOWERS | I wanted a relaxed but beautiful style for the flowers, incorporating apricot, pink, and cornflower blue colours. I wanted them to look wild & to use lots of different textures. I didn't look any further than our supplier Jo Flowers. She creates truly exceptional creations, both unique and individual. Jo also dressed the venue with some amazing creations including a eucalyptus garland on one of the cartwheel lights.

THE CAKE | We didn't go for a traditional cake, instead we decided to serve cheese & purchased this from a local supplier.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Katherine Ashdown - what can I say ! She is without doubt one of the best photographers I have seen. We went to a local wedding fair back in 2008 and saw her work there. When we finally decided to get married in 2013 we didn't even look anywhere else - we knew we wanted Kathy from Day 1.

Kathy captures amazing natural images & truly captured the essence of our day. She is also lovely to work with. I call her the maestro !

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | I knew what I wanted in terms of styling but I also knew that with a full-time job & a toddler that I just wouldn't have enough time to source everything & pull it all together.

I wanted a mix of country chic with the hint of gold glamour, not easy to pull off as they seem so opposite but I was so, so happy with the results.

I chose to use a stylist & hire company. Chantal from Angels by the Sea understood my style & my vision for the day & went out of her way to source what we wanted. She did an excellent job of pulling it all together at the venue & I was so happy with the results it looked incredible.

THE HONEYMOON |Hasn't happened yet ! We had a few days away in Spain after the wedding with our daughter. We're planning a road trip in Florida later in the year so we can take her to Disneyland & also explore the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS |Mark at the end of the aisle - he was a nervous wreck (recurring theme?) All the speeches - tears all round.

Dancing until 2am - no shoes on & still in my dress. Once the guests had left our DJ moved from the marquee into the main house and delivered a set for us & our family inside - it was amazing, like having your own club in your house.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Decide early on the elements of the day that are most important to you as a couple and the things that you won't compromise on. This really helped us to narrow our focus & ensure we got the best possible suppliers.

Once you've decided on something you like - go with it. I could have had 50 different dresses, hairstyles & make up styles. In fact if I could I would get married every year just to experience buying 'the dress' again and choosing the hair & make up styles.

Listen to the advice of your suppliers - especially when it comes to Hair & Make-up - a good supplier will know what works for you.

Don't stress about the little things or big things. What matters is getting married - not how many sweets you put in each sweetie bag
