This afternoon is dedicated to the prettiest paper creations.

The Pixie creates gorgeous paper flowers, from bouquets to place settings. They are the perfect piece of décor to really make your wedding reception pop. I so love the ability to use different patterned papers and colours to fit into any wedding décor scheme too.

Lets get to know The Pixie better...

Hi, my name is Mari and I am the girl behind The Pixie.

I studied textiles at art school but it was always paper that inspired me, it has such an elegance and beautiful textures. I create paper flowers from maps, vintage books, music scores, anything paper - old photo's, watercolour sketches or even comics. It's a beautiful way to have a one off creation that really reflects a couples personalities, lives and memories, and one that lasts forever.

I love it when I get a new design idea in my head and it comes together perfectly as an actual piece. And seeing people's reactions to my work, especially when they realise how personalised the designs can be.

After many years in the greeting cards and gift wrapping industry, I decided that it was time to strike out on my own. I was asked to make a full scale wedding dress from paper for an exhibition stand - and covered it in paper flowers. And with a keen interest in floristry, one thing led to another. Wedding flowers were the perfect fit for my work.

The best thing about my work is that they are designed for a specific couple.

So my aim is to offer something truly unique, a little bit quirky and alternative, working with clients to create what they want.

With my work being bespoke to a clients needs there is no set style, but I like to think of my work as original, elegant and timeless.

Prices vary on each piece due to its individual nature but for an example my classic white watercolour paper bouquet is £80. Smaller pieces such as individually named place setting roses start from £5.00. I can work to any budget a couple have in mind.
