This dark romantic bridal inspirational shoot was inspired by the mysterious Sutro Bath ruins and the beauty of the San Francisco shore. The Sutro Bath concept was introduced and photographed by Jennifer Michelson. Built in 1894, the Sutro Bath was once a public bathhouse but now a historical ruins site that covers 3 acres of space. We found it to be the perfect location to capture the bride's reflection of her past and to celebrate her new journey ahead.

Using the color palette of white, pink, green, and dark plum, florist Amy Vassar crafted a beautiful bouquet that melted our hearts. Jewelry designer Bonnie Harper created the bride's jewelries that echoed the allure of the ocean and the ethereal view of the ruins along with makeup artist Kristen Calderaro and hair stylist Gigi Moss. Finally, bridal gown designer Judy Lee designed a timeless figure-flattering lace wedding dress with silk chiffon and lace shawls that completed the look.

As the sun began to set, we used tea lights and mason jars to further highlight the essence of the dark romantic theme. We also changed the style of the bride to give her a celestial look that matched her final emotion before her wedding.
