Brides in search of a designer wedding gown can save hundreds and help a wonderful cause this autumn. From the 18th to the 31st of October, London’s Octavia Foundation will be transforming its flagship shop on Brompton Road, at the heart of stylish Knightsbridge, into a pop-up designer bridal boutique.

With recent donations from a number of local boutiques and outlets, the pop-up boutique will boast a who’s who list of the industry’s finest designers, ranging from brand new never-worn gowns to samples and pre-loved wedding dresses, as well as a selection of one-off vintage ensembles.

The boutique will also stock a wide range of chic wedding shoes, accessories, bridal jewellery, pretty bridesmaids’ frocks and brand new fabulous venue decorations such as fabric bunting, paper pom poms and lanterns and bird cages.

The Octavia Foundation is a local, community-based charity that works in west and central London supporting local people during times of personal difficulty or crisis. For those working with The Octavia Foundation, the charity can be a place of last resort, or just a guiding hand for those who need help.

With their roots in the communities of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, the money raised from the pop-up bridal boutique will go towards: care and support for older and vulnerable people; work with young people; help with training and employment for all ages and help with money and debt.

Jenni Heavingham, Head of Shops at The Octavia Foundation says: “We have received thousands of pounds worth of designer dresses from local boutiques, as well as many pre-loved and vintage dresses. With used dresses starting at £40 and brand new, never-worn gowns retailing at prices up to £500, it’s a great opportunity for London brides to get their hands on a real bargain and support our work in the process.”

The Octavia Foundation wedding boutique will be open from 18-31 October 2013 at 211 Brompton Road, London, SW3 2EJ.  The boutique will be open from 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday and from 11am–5pm on Sunday.
