Every season the color wheel gets a bit of workout, and this fall is no exception. We’re packing away our turquoise and coral to make room for the new it-couplings that have emerged. Here are the three color combinations we’re obsessed with to start wearing right now.

Navy & Grey

Dark navy polish is at the top of our fall wish list. Wear it matte or shiny, the look is totally on trend. Pair it with the other fall color we can’t get enough of: grey. Dark grey, light grey, blue-grey–there’s a shade for everyone and they’re all gorgeous. We’ll be sporting Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer in Evelyn on our fingers and Giorgio Armani Beauty Nail Lacquer in Bleu d’Armani on our toes.

Copper & Amethyst

Eyelids covered in coppery orange eye shadow were all over the fall runways. Choose a warm, shimmery shade to keep the color from falling flat. Our current go-to is a wash copper shadow, like Lancôme Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow in Hotness. Pair the look with rich amethyst lips—we’ll be choosing a creamy take on the look with Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Venom.

Quick Tip: Tone down the intensity of a deeply pigmented lipstick by applying it with your finger for more of a stain effect.

Hot Pink & Ice Blue

Dark, amethyst lipstick wasn’t the only bold lip trend to catch our eyes. Hot pink lips brightened up the fall runways and looked especially fresh when paired with cool, metallic eyes. The prevalence of metallic eye shadow this season is impossible to ignore–not that we would want to. An icy blue color like Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Iced Blue is the perfect complement to a hot pink lipstick, like our personal favorite Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Fuchsia Flash.
