This afternoon is all about the all important finishing touch to your bridal look.

WWW’s newest sponsor Evie Oliver is here to share some of their beautiful wedding accessories. Pretty, glamorous or bespoke, there is something to suit every bride. Let’s get to know designer Victoria even better…

Hi, Victoria could you firstly tell WWW readers a little bit about you?

My name is Victoria Morris and I am the designer (and maker) behind Evie Oliver (evieoliver.co.uk).

I absolutely adore weddings and have always had a love of vintage dresses and accessories which have proved a great source of inspiration to me.

I love to make things and ever since my mum taught me when I was little I have been sewing and beading and generally making things for myself.

What do you love/dislike about your job?

I love the feeling I get when I start to look through my jars of beads and swatches of lace and an idea of what I want to make begins to form. I really get such enjoyment from making my pieces and see them develop from beginning to end; to be able to look at the finished article and see how all the components come together to make something special and beautiful.

The only tiny negative I have ever experienced since starting Evie Oliver is that occasionally people don’t realise that the items I make are not mass produced and that they are handmade by me… therefore they are not as inexpensive as a cheap, value high street retailers accessories. Most people are able to appreciate that my pieces are totally unique and a far better quality and that I don’t scrimp on materials! I feel that a brides wedding day accessories should be just as special as her dress – they are going to be in all the photographs afterall!

How did you get into the wedding industry?

I studied design at the London College of fashion and have worked as a designer for both designer brands and for the high street for a number of years. I started making pieces for myself as a hobby for special occasions and for my own wedding and then at the request of friends and family and it just evolved from there.

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?

I try to make pieces that feel really special and are extremely high quality. Every piece that I make is one-of-a-kind and made from beautiful materials. All of the bespoke pieces that I make are made working closely with my clients to ensure that finished product exceeds their expectations. I just want my clients to feel special on their big day!

What style is your work?

I am heavily influenced by vintage pieces but I also try to incorporate emerging fashion trends. For example there has been such a buzz around the 1920’s and great Gatsby that I made several pieces that were inspired by this look. Also so many brides are in love with the recent trend for a more laid back, festival vibe at their weddings and so I have made a number of more romantic, bohemian pieces with handmade flowers and more subtle sparkle to tie in with this trend.

Could you tell us some information about your packages/prices?

My prices vary depending on the style/size of each piece and the kind of materials that are used. I tend to use premium components such as Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls etc and sometimes vintage brooches etc. I also incorporate cut glass stones and tiny twinkling beads for added twinkle. On bespoke items I can of course work with a bride to achieve her ideal piece and work to an agreed budget.

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding accessory designer?

Just make sure that you do plenty of research and to be really honest about what you want! Mood boards are always really helpful for both the supplier and also for the client to get a really clear vision of the look they want to achieve on their big day!
