Woodstock Festival Wedding in Romania

Woodstock Festival Wedding in Romania

Music festival lovers Cris and Vlad wanted their Romanian wedding to reflect their love of going to, and playing at them. "The inspiration for our wedding was music festivals, Woodstock in particular", said the bride. "My husband proposed at Sziget Festival, in a tent, at 3 am and I am in a band so it made perfect sense."

"We had LOTS of little details at the wedding, all of which were inspired by music festivals and bands we love. Each guest received a wristband and we even had an 'Official Merchandise' stand where were had CDs, badges, cups and t-shirts for our guests to take away. We arrived in a VW van and most of our guests camped over."

"In the evening I took off my traditional white dress and opened the festival officially by playing on the stage to our guests! I loved my father-daughter dance too. It was too a hardcore rock song, performed by my husband's brothers band!"

This wedding had a lot of guests - 170 of them - meaning their biggest expense was feeding everyone. "We spent the most on food because we had so many guests", she continued. "However we saved by designing and making nearly everything ourselves with help from friends and family. We managed to get the stage and all the sound equipment for free because Vlad's father and brother work as sound engineers so this obviously saved us a lot too!"

"The best thing about our wedding was that it happened exactly as we imagined", Cris concluded. "It truly reflected our spirit and how we are."
