DIY: Winter Floral Centerpiece with pops of Marsala

If you liked our Winter Flower Guide on Wednesday, today we're sharing how to use all those pretty florals to create a gorgeous Winter floral centerpiece with pops of Marsala - the Pantone 2015 color of the year! Putting together centerpieces seems daunting, but you'll see in our easy 4 step process that when broken down, it's actually pretty simple! Here's how to make your own show stopping centerpiece:
What You'll Need:
* Vase of choice (we used a vintage one we had on hand)
* Floral foam
* Floral scissors
* Flowers. Here's what we used for this centerpiece: 1 hanging amaranthus, 4 burgundy peonies, 5 cymbidium burgundy orchids, 4 patience garden roses, 4 champagne roses, 3 magenta tulips, 3 anemones, 1 white hyacinth, 3 sprigs of lemon leaf and cedar, 1 bunch of tallow berry and 3 bunches of brazilia berry.
Step 1: Start with your green and fillers (like amaranthus and lemon leaf) to shape your piece together. This will help you get an idea of the overall shape of the piece. We wanted a swooping + loose piece so we went farther down the sides.
Step 2: Next, take your small focal flowers (like tulips, champagne roses and anemones) and place in your foam. Space them out as you go, you can always change their placement after.
Step 3: Then, take the big focal flowers (like peonies, garden roses and orchids) and place between your smaller focals and fillers.
Step 4: Last, add in your berries and any other last fillers to spruce up your piece. Change flowers around if you don't like them, or fluff to finish!
Love it! If you do create your own winter floral centerpiece, we'd love to see how it turns out, so please share on Instagram along with the hashtag #GreenWeddingShoesDIY
