20 wedding glove looks: on your hands and in your face

If there's one wedding accessory that should be given more of a spotlight, it's gloves. Seriously, look no further than a pair of gloves to give your matrimonial ensemble just the perfect touch. Classy, timeless, stylish. Edgy, rocker, goth. Historic, period, thematic. Maybe you prefer gauntlets. Or the matinée glove, so popular in the mid-century. Perhaps you're the type to say, "Fuck it all, I'm going full-on opera, there's no stopping me!"

There's a way to work a glove no matter the style of wedding you have in mind - and I can prove it in 20 photos.

19. Fingerless ivory gauntlets make it easy to eat cupcakes.

17. But if we're talking about gauntlets, we must discuss this purple and black pair for that perfectly goth look.

16. If you'd rather not commit to the look for the whole evening, how about black lace gauntlets for an extreme reception change?

15. For something less extreme but still an evening change: black rocker gloves.

13. Speaking of groom gloves: elbow-length lace for her to go with gray for him

11. Or perhaps a more period feel would work better for you?

9. Lace matinees also pair really well with a '60s-style bouffant.

6. MOAR COLOR. Let's all admire pink elbow-length gloves that match the bride's hair.

5. Or, you know, go with black elbow-length to match your corset.

4. One bride wore elbow-length black, the other one didn't.

3. Black elbow-length is also the perfect reason to wear a skeleton bracelet.

2. OPERA-LENGTH. These don't happen enough.

Sound off in the comments and let me know how likely you'd be to add a pair of gloves to your wedding look!
