DIY Tutorial: Bubble Blower

I am delighted to welcome back Andrea Pittam from Kiss the Frog to the Blog today. Andrea is a photographer as well as crafter and last time shared with us her wonderful Paper Birdcage tutorial which went down very well with you all. Today Andrea is showing us how to make these super cute Bubble Blowers that are perfect for your flower girls or page boys, or for the smaller guests at your weddings. They would also be great for children’s parties. They looks SO pretty as well as lasting much longer than the plastic ones you can buy from the shops!
Stainless steel or copper wire – (these do not rust in the bubble blowing solution) measuring 30 cm for each bubble blower. Use the thickest wire possible for your beads so it carries the weight of them without bending. Small glass bottle – This is used to shape the hoop part of the bubble blower and needs to be the size of the hoop you require. I’ll pass the blog over to Andrea………….STEP 1) Wrap the wire around the glass bottle and twist to secure.
STEP 2) Keep twisting the wire using the craft pliers until there is no more excess wire.
STEP 3) Thread the beads onto the wire.
STEP 4) Leave 1.5 cm of wire at the bottom of the bubble blower and bend in the middle with the pliers.
STEP 5) Form a loop and squeeze together using the pliers.
STEP 6) Paper cups matching your colour scheme can be used for your bubble blowing solution.
