Waking up to my feed with black squares for #blackouttuesday is a beautiful thing to see. Especially knowing that we’re all coming together for a bigger purpose. The heart and intention behind every single post was moving to me. Out of respect and after much prayer and contemplation I wanted to share my interpretation of it. A lot are hurting and this issue that we’re dealing as a nation can’t just be a one day thing. With all this noise and everyone talking over each other - the silence and blackout was a moment for the voices of our brothers and sisters to be amplified. @josuejuly said it so beautifully “As a black man and a father, I rally for my kids and the next generation, so they may live in the fullness of freedom!” - So let’s remember, to not stop listening after today and the many days after, but let’s continue to - Share stories and voices Show up Uplift Pray Hear God Reach out Support Listen Be present And continue to pour light and love into those who need it the most
