To all my friends in hospitality - I feel you. We’re in this together and it’s tragic to see all these events being cancelled. Events are what I do! I spend almost every day of my life thinking about them, planning for them and delivering them for my clients. Ruminating on how we make them great, better than before. How we ensure everyone has a bloody good time. And now that privilege is being taken away from us. Slowly but surely eroded with each passing hour. I still have faith. I have faith this will all blow over soon and we can get back to doing what we do best. But right now, we need to come together. We need to bring joy into each other’s lives when it's feeling like that's so far away from our reality. We're creative. Celebrations are what we do. So if we can't do that in groups, how do we move those celebrations into our homes instead? We have the most incredible technology at our fingertips. So let's use it. Event organisers around the world, I urge you. Stop cancelling all your events and get creative with how you deliver them in the short term. Take them into peoples homes through their TV and computer screens. Have mass online parties - we need these more than ever. We still need to dance and sing, to laugh and cry, and more than anything to play together and feel connected. We may be separated by distance but we shouldn't be divided. #strongertogether
