BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS

It was quiet in the forest, wonderfully quiet. It pressed like gloves against the ears of the lone travelers traipsing through the snowy paths — where the naked trees stood parted like soldiers in tidy rows, peppered with the remnants of the last snow and circled by the air that glowed blue in the fading light.
