The sunset took about three hours to complete, and I remember just sitting there, realizing that I was at one of the world’s most northern locations watching the most beautiful sunset all alone. Then, out of nowhere, the northern lights started ripping in, moving like snakes in the sky. I felt like a kid again witnessing something entirely new — and that’s why I love traveling. You get to see things for the first time, which sadly happens less and less as you get older.
