Elephants are incredible creatures — gentle, intelligent, emotive. @donalboyd spent some time in Zimbabwe with @actionifaw and @zen_wildislife documenting the rewilding of six rescued elephants from a nursery in the capital of Harare to the Panda Masuie Forest Reserve near Victoria Falls. “The actual move of these elephants involved a 16-hour journey from start to finish and was the culmination of hundreds of hours of planning by countless key players and wildlife professionals. These six elephants will now finally have the opportunity to interact with wild herds in this crucial conservation area, as they live alongside their handlers for support and protection until they’re ready to be fully independent.” (
