A Botanical Themed Wedding Shoot By Rock The Frock Bridal

A Botanical Themed Wedding Shoot By Rock The Frock Bridal

via

Oh botanicals - we do love them here at Festival Brides. A bit of the outside inside always brings a sense of calm and natural beauty to a wedding space. Green as a colour has a fresh and organic vibe to it too so whenever we see it being used in a shoot or as part of the decor at a wedding, we are instantly drawn to it and today's shoot is no exception.

Like the shoot we featured a few weeks ago, today's also takes place in a green house and as a result is vibrant with gorgeous green botanicals. It also has some pretty amazing Cactaceaes and small succulents which we are seeing used a lot at 2017 weddings.

Put together by Rock The Frock Bridal Boutique to celebrate the launch of Capsule, their very own bridal collection, the shoot is full of some gorgeous botanical wedding inspiration as well as some stunning dresses and bohemian bridal vibes. It is also inspired with the 'real woman' in mind and for that we give it a huge thumbs up....

The inspiration for the shoot was to really provide inclusivity for brides. Too often, the wedding industry forgets that brides aren't all 6ft tall, size 8, white models who long for a long strapless dress for their big day. We wanted to bring about the beginnings of a revolution in representing all women - regardless of ethnicity, body shape & style & hope that our shoot ticks some of those boxes!

Consider those boxes ticked! Karen, the owner of Rock The Frock Bridal, talks us through the shoot....

A Dream Of A Shoot....

Rock The Frock recently created their own capsule collection and to celebrate, brought together the most amazing Essex based suppliers, took over the greenhouse at Writtle agricultural college & created this DREAM of a shoot! Holly from Gather The Light created the most stunning images with her natural style.

Our models are the beautiful Chloe, Emma & Simone. You will recognise both Chloe & Emma from many shoots & I love their look so much. But, Simone was the special one for us as she was a bride who came to try dresses on at the boutique, unsuspecting that we would totally rope her into modelling for us!! She had never modeled before but absolutely smashed it!!

Capes, Suits and Off The Shoulder Dresses....

Our dresses have been heavily influenced by the fashions from the 1960s & 70s, featuring capes, trouser suits, off the shoulder dresses alongside modern separates paired with beautiful shoes by Merle & Morris. Make up by Claire Marie Make up for all three models was kept fresh & natural which worked perfectly with beautiful hair designs by Lisa Alger Hair & Make Up.

The flowers had to complement the amazing botanical setting & The Flower Arranger created some seriously amazing arrangements alongside lots of plants that worked perfectly with the surroundings. The stunning bouquets focussed manily on greens & whites with minimal colour so that the botanical elements were accentuated. The natural elements were incorporated into the stationery by Wonderland Invites, and styling by Rock The Day with table settings picking out the lush green backdrop with gold cutlery and fresh white china. For the cake, Lau from French Made create a minimalistic high tiered semi naked cake decorated with foliage and gold foil in tune with the theme of the shoot.
