Enchanted New York City Warehouse Wedding

Enchanted New York City Warehouse Wedding

A "New York City romance" may sound like the premise of your favorite summer read but for Lenora + Joe, it's a beautiful reality! Inspired by the idea of an enchanted evening, the couple's wedding is full of whimsical floral details and set at the Metropolitan Building, a rather magical place on its own. Lenora took on the task to plan + design the day, down to one very stunning detail: the dress!

Here's a look at what went into the day: The whole wedding was a sort of DIY project for me in a lot of ways. It was very important to me that this day reflected us and I wanted it to be very personal. I'm a designer for Lela Rose, so we designed my gown in-house. I wouldn't call that a "DIY" project for most people since this is what we do day-in and day-out, but it was for us! Aside from that I did my own calligraphy, my sister did all the signage, and my mom put the favors together. It was a team effort!

Joe and I had been together for 12 years before we got married, since we were 18, so a lot of people were waiting for this wedding to happen and we wanted to make it as special as we could. We felt that 2016 was year a where people were being torn apart and it was important to us to bring everyone together. We printed Maya Angelou's, "The Human Family," on the back of our program. I do think people were as touched by the evening as we were and they felt the magic in the room.

Redfield Photography was there to capture all the details of the day!

Lenora wore these amazing Lucite Heel Peggy Sandals by Gianvito Rossi with her custom gown!

Here's your first peek at Melarosa 's floral magic. The deep purples, greens, and blush pink...swoon!

Let's talk about this gown by Lenora and the designers at Lela Rose! The beading, the train, the silhouette, and the deep V-gorgeous!

DREAM.

Joe looked suave in his blue Paul Smith suit. Who else is loving a groom in a blue suit lately?!

We can't get over the stunning colors + textures of the Metropolitan Building!

Lenora's bridesmaids also wore dresses from Lela Rose.

Guys: can you even believe this floral genius? Lenora tells us, My florist, Melanie from Melarosa, really understood the vibe and seriously went above and beyond with the concept of having flowers and branches growing inside and taking over the space.

Like an enchanted forest!

Lenora walked down the aisle to "Heartbeats" by Jose Gonzales.

Yay! The best moment!

Super impressed with Lenora's calligraphy! And this simple place cards layout + gems? SO good!

Magical reception details: more floral installations, tapered candles, and sweet little gifts from the bride + groom.

The naked cake gets an update from Cake Hero!

Color us bewitched! Such a beautiful celebration for L+J! Congrats, you two!
