After trying on seven different gowns, Amber stepped out in lucky number eight and her mum burst into tears. The style of her dream wedding dress set the tone for an effortlessly elegant wedding.

We first met...

At a friends house around two years ago.

We knew it was love...

Immediately!

The proposal...

Jesse ticked off one of Amber's bucket list items with a surprise sunrise hot air balloon ride. Afterwards they journeyed to a winery where Jesse got down on one knee and Amber said yes! Their closest family and friends came running out of hiding and joined them for a celebratory breakfast.

The bridal party...

We had three of each. Friends and siblings.

The bridesmaids wore...

Dresses from Forever New and Betts shoes.

The groom and groomsmen wore...

Suits by Tarocash.

Our dream wedding...

There was no set "theme" but we both wanted the vibe to be elegant, classy but still relaxed and representative of both of us.

Ceremony location...

Broadway Chapel, Woolloongabba.

Reception venue...

Summit, Mount Cootha Lookout.

We had multiple venues in mind, but The Summit was the first one we went to. We had coffee at the cafe at the top of the mountain afterwards, discussing what we thought, and we both had fallen in love. We immediately cancelled all our other venue viewings and paid the deposit later that week.

Wedding photographer...

Amanda - Peppermint Photography. WE HAD THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!

The dress...

A Jack Sullivan gown purchased from Brides Desire with a handmade veil and hairpiece.

It was the eighth one I tried on. I walked into the store and as soon as I saw it hanging up, I pointed and said, "I need to try that one on!". The first seven were okay, some were nice, but I put on the eighth one and my mum started crying, I was crying and I visualised the entire day. I saw myself walking down the isle and seeing Jesse's face. I saw my bridesmaids helping me put it on. It was all there. I knew it was the perfect dress for me.

Wedding flowers...

I had a very specific vision and wanted gold accents in among my florals. Flower Lovers did an amazing job working with me to bring my visions to life.

Reception décor...

The venue put together most of it for us. We purchased various things from all over the place haha, as I'd see something that matched our theme and bought stacks.

On the menu...

Catering was by The Summit Restaurant.

We weren't going to get a cake, but we ended up getting one and now we're so glad we did! We had a two tier chocolate mud cake with raspberry and vanilla filling, with vanilla buttercream icing by Petal and Peach. Other desserts (slices, tarts, cookies etc) were provided by The Summit Restaurant and our cake topper was from Etsy.

Memorable moments...

At the very end of the night, all our guests created two lines from the reception venue to the limousine. We ran through this tunnel while every cheered and clapped and the pure ecstasy we both felt was out of this world.

Wedding soundtrack...

Aisle - Pachebel's Canon. First Dance - Can't Help Falling In Love - Andrea Bocelli
