Marian and Veronica are a special couple who got married this year in Gandia. They celebrated an Orthodox wedding along with their families. They are from Romania and met in London, where they are actually living since six years. There are many affinities between them, they like travel, good music and watch movies and series. Marian is a fan of "Game of Thrones" while Veronica prefers "House of Cards" series.

Marian and Veronica contacted me months ago from London, they wanted me to be their wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to know them and we decided together the best way to make some special photos of theyr wedding in Spain. They wear looking for natural and spontaneous photos that could tell the story of their wedding in a different and original way. The first thing we did was an engagement photo shoot before the wedding in a place that is an icon of Valencia: La ciudad de las Artes y las ciencias

The pre-wedding session is the perfect moment to know each other and and break the ice, it's essential to get natural photos on the wedding day. The Ciudad de las Artes is a very photographed place but it offers a multitude of possibilities for original images. In a few minutes I knew it would be easy to photograph Marian and Veronica as the two are very natural in front of the camera. We laughed and enjoyed taking pictures, take advantage of this beautiful light we have in Valencia in summer evenings.

The wedding was held in an Orthodox church in Gandia, accompanying grooms family and friends. Orthodox celebration is different from those usually held in Spain ancient tradition, but the emotions of the couple are the same. Marian and Veronica were a little tense before beginning but at the end of the celebration had a big smile and their faces showed all their happiness and joy.

liturgical aspects (From Wikipedia)

The Orthodox Sacrament of Marriage actually consists of two parts: The Exchange of Rings and The Crowning. This first part of the wedding service can be equated with the 'civil service'. It takes place in the vestibule (entry) of the church; that area seen by the Church as the closest to the 'outside' world. In this service the Church first prays for the couple. Here the Church recognizes and blesses a union which has begun "in the world" yet awaits fulfillment in the world to come. After being blessed by the priest, the rings are placed on the right hand, the hand with which promises and/or oaths are traditionally made and the hand with which the presence of God is recognized through the sign of the Cross. The rings are the symbol of betrothal, agreement, authority, and stewardship. The exchange of the rings gives expression to the fact that in marriage the spouses will constantly be complementing each other. Each will be enriched by the union. The exchange of rings represents a pledge to share and exchange both their physical and spiritual goods, a pledge of eternal love and devotion.

One day after the wedding we made a second photo shoot on the beach of Valencia, as Marian and Veronica wanted to have a special memory of this place wen they get back in London. The session was fun and relaxed. We added some great images to the story with this flavor that you can only get on Spanish beaches.

Thanks Marian and Veronica for trusting me, it has been a pleasure to meet you and spend a few days together.
This is a short summary of your wedding story, I hope you enjoy it for many years.
