Timeless & Luxurious Southern Wedding Inspiration

Timeless & Luxurious Southern Wedding Inspiration

via

We love sharing cool weddings and unique ideas with you guys, but the truth is, most couples would rather create something timeless for their wedding day, than pave the way with new trends.

That said, it's still important to many to have a modern and contemporary feel, and today's inspiration shoot balances both beautifully, with luxurious decor and sophisticated styling.

Photographed by The Mamones, planned and designed by Meggie Francisco Events, and set in Arlington Hall at Lee Park in Dallas,it shows a refined twist on the typical charming Southern wedding.

With glamorous attire (we love the suave groom's look!), polished florals, romantic tablescaping and preppy stationery, this shoot takes a minimal palette, vintage-style linens, classic place settings and a super stylish gown to create a look that's contrasting, textural, yet entirely elegant.

Scroll down to check it out, but first, let's hear more about this timeless wedding inspiration from The Mamones, Meggie Francisco Events and the team behind it...

The Story Behind the Shoot

Dallas brides are the luckiest fall brides. The air has a crisp, cool bite, but the sun shines brightly and the trees hang on to their leaves until winter swiftly sweeps them away. This inspiration shoot focuses on the classic Dallas bride who wants to look back on her wedding day and feel that it was truly timeless. The location, Arlington Hall at Lee Park, is nestled into the heart of the city near Turtle Creek, lush with green, gently sloping grounds. A mix of cool and warm toned grays and taupes throughout the wedding design place the focus firmly on the bride and groom, and sharp pops of black keep the look clean. Soft, fluffy floral textures combine with lacy translucent linens and a monogrammed fountain feature that will stand the test of time. The China combines mixed metals and a variety of traditional and modern elements to show how a devil-may-care attitude about matching can produce the most intriguing results. The bride's Berta gown is current, yet everlasting, with a dramatic train and intricate beadwork. Her loosely styled up-do keeps the look traditional, yet soft and romantic. The groom's trim fitted velvet tuxedo jacket provides an extra dash of style and sophistication.

I love how it's a mix of really classic style with some contemporary details too - so elegant!

Thanks so much to The Mamones, Meggie Francisco Events and the Dallas team behind this shoot for sharing it with us.
