Today we are so excited to share Ashley and Jo-Anne's wedding by Debbie Kelly Photography. We cannot get over how pretty this wedding was! We adore how well the décor, outfits, and flowers suits the venue.

We are sure you will enjoy this shoot as much as we did...

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We met in the U.K on a Contiki Tour in 2011. We both had eyes for each other from the get-go but we weren't sure how it was going to work, as he was a farm boy from a small town in the Eastern Cape (Komga) and I was a city girl from the bustling metropolis of Durban. But, as they say, love conquers all, and here we are five years later!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

We were camping at Salt Rock with my family. Ash asked me if I wanted to go for a sunset walk with him on the beach. I was NOT keen, I had just showered! Luckily my brother stepped in and saved the day by telling me to stop being so 'fragile' on a camping trip. It is EXTREMELY difficult to surprise me, so Ash didn't tell anyone he was going to propose, except my dad, who he asked only a few hours before proposing! Pulling off a surprise like this without me catching on at some point, took some serious skill.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

There were too many to count. It was the best day. I just felt like I was floating the whole day (There's a reasonably good chance that I over-dosed on rescue tablets- so this may or may not have been a contributing factor) Ash's speech was pretty amazing. And I think walking down the aisle towards my main man was a definite stand-out moment for me.

I Quote | Describe your wedding day in one sentence

Good food. Good wine. Good people. Good speeches. Good jols.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Planning a wedding is a much bigger task than I anticipated. We were engaged for 5 months. One month into the wedding plans and I was ready to cut my losses and just elope but then I realised, planning a wedding happens once (God-willing) and it should be a FUN experience. So my advice? Don't let the stress of planning a wedding rob you of having a blast!
