Thank you Brittany for sharing this story with us, say Brittany: "Before heading out to photograph a wedding last weekend, I held my grandparents' wedding slides up to a window and marveled at images I had never before seen. I was inspired by the wonderful imperfection of them all. There is something about two farm kids dressed in their best, grinning like children as they leave the church. Also check out that box camera sneaking a peek at the left of the frame! I love everything about this picture, right down to the ring catching the sunlight, shimmering and blurred. Cheers to my grandparents, Darlene McLean and Bruce Staddon! (In their dating and early years, my grandfather's pet name for his lovely gal was 'Dene.') I love seeing them like this, happy young newlyweds in the summer of 1954, captured in a real moment of joy."
