As seen on a swath of celebrities like Margot Robbie, Candice Huffine, Niecy Nash and Caroline Vreeland, Italian fashion designer Chiara Boni's dresses flatter women of many shapes. Her vibrant and feminine cuts are at once festive and elegant, sexy and appropriate for a variety of occasions and functions. On top of all that, Boni is the originator of a stretch fabric that clings comfortably to curves and angles. Glancing over her website, you'll see that her professional, wearable and attractive dresses seem to appeal to any number of international female newscasters and reporters. The Boni label is definitely on the rise.

All this is to say that Chiara Boni La Petite Robe may be your sartorial savior this summer as you bustle off to weddings, gala events and parties. During such a busy season, deciding what to wear and how to pack it can take up considerable brain space. Wouldn't it be nice to relax and breathe easy in a wrinkle-free dress that allows you to inhale and eat without worry?

We spoke with the elegant Florentine Chiara Boni about her clothes and country, and the numerous celebrities who wear her dresses on red carpets around the world.

What steps do you take in your design process to make your dresses so figure flattering?

My dresses are built on the body, so they become one with the person. I study the secrets of a woman's body, focusing on finding a kind of harmony. I have also been experimenting for years on fabrics, taking advantage of new technologies that are applied to fibers that provide the sartorial quality of the dresses.

Tell us about your eco-friendly stretch fabric. How did you develop it?

The only way to preserve beauty is to respect the environment. It is difficult to maintain the nature-fashion equilibrium, but I try! For my collection, I use fabrics developed together with an Italian company registered with a green program: in this case, a program that supports sustainable production through ethical practices with regard to the environment.

Italian women are known for their love of heels. Since your clothes are crafted with comfort in mind, how do you feel about women wearing heels or other physically appealing apparel that may not always be pleasant to wear?

Comfort is the key word to feel at ease with what we wear. My idea of fashion is to value comfort without giving up femininity. However, sometimes a pair of great heels might be worth the sacrifice!

Many celebrities wear your dresses.

I am very pleased by the reception of La Petite Robe by celebrities-it has been a really broad embrace from fans. Some of them are real icons, like Jane Seymour, Gloria Estefan and Oprah Winfrey. Some are well known in contemporary pop culture, like Mischa Barton, and easy for the public to identify themselves with, like the Real Housewife Jill Zarin.

Caitlyn Jenner particularly stunned in one of your dresses. Were you also excited to see her in it?

Caitlyn Jenner chose Chiara Boni on the red carpet of this year's TIME 100 Gala, of which she was one of the honorees. I can only be happy about it!

Is there a key to successful occasion dressing? How do you usually get dressed for a formal event?

For a formal occasion, I choose one of my dresses and put emphasis on the accessories. Bracelets or earrings, always objects that tell a story and underline the elegance of clean lines. My advice is to always personalize your style.

Where are your clothes made in Italy?

Chiara Boni La Petite Robe's production is centralized between the Emilia and Tuscany regions of Italy. I am involved in every aspect of the collection, from the moods to the final fit of the whole collection.

You are a Florentine. What are some of your favorite places in Florence?

I would have never been Chiara Boni had I not been born in Florence. It is the city that gave way to my inspiration. I invite you to discover its historic residences, such as Palazzo Antinori, a splendid palace from the Renaissance, where La Petite Robe held a runway show to benefit Onlus Corri La Vita, an association that fights breast cancer.
