Fern and Field Spring Open Day

Back on the 7th May on a beautiful spring day, Kent wedding venue Fern and Field, in collaboration with Festival Brides, held their first ever open day. The aim of the event was not only to showcase their beautiful venue but also the wealth of local wedding talent that the garden of England has to offer. Local suppliers such as Maka Tipi (the first company in the UK to supply the stunning new white tipis), Bluebelle Creative (a lady whose talents stretch from décor design to beautiful flowers), The Beauty Aisle (a wonderful MUA), The Wild Heart Bridal Boutique (supplier of the most gorgeous wedding dresses), Three 15 (a very cool and unique bar) and many more were there doing what they do best and helping to showcase how this beautiful outdoor wedding venue would look on your wedding day.

Fern and Field is made up of a beautiful woodland, a ceremony blessing area, a lake, and a 24 acre meadow with stunning panoramic views of the Kent countryside. It is completely secluded and private and comes with great access to London and plenty of parking. As if that wasn't already enough, what made the venue that extra bit special on the open day was the absolutely incredible sea of bluebells that completely stretched the entire length of the woodland. Never before have I seen so many bluebells in one place. They were absolutely breathtaking and completely captured my heart.

As you arrived at the venue a member of the Fern and Field team greeted you with a welcome pack and directed you to a path that led through the woodland and bluebells to the ceremony area. Here you would find a handmade ceremony arch dressed with gorgeous flowers by Bluebelle Creative, a large urn filled with flowers by Florist in The Forest, classical music played by The Goyesca String Trio and flower confetti by The Real Flower Confetti Company. The path continued through the woodland and bluebells and out into the meadow where Maka Tipi's Giant Hat White Tipis stood proud against the blue sky in the large 24 acre meadow.

Showcasing their talents in each Tipi were Anthology Vintage Hire who supplied the cool wooden trestle tables and chairs, Flourish and Lace who did the stationery, Flossie Pops Cakery who made a beautiful 3 tiered cake for the event, M&J Photography, Bluebell Creative who dressed the tables and supplied the flowers, Wealden Vintage Crockery Company, True Grace, The Wild Heart Bridal, Three 15, The Beauty Aisle and Smart entertainment. Toilets and power were supplied by Sparks Power.

It was a great day and a fantastic chance for couples to view Kent's crème de la crème of wedding suppliers.

Capturing the event on film was Jason Laroza and we have his video to share with you today. You can see just how beautiful the venue really is and those ever so magical bluebells.
