Lindsey and Delmar knew they wanted a romantic, ethereal feel for their July wedding day. "We wanted the atmosphere to be ethereal, whimsical, romantic, and rustic. We liked the idea of having very intimate lighting with soft colours everywhere," Lindsey explains. The end result was a breathtaking scene full of lush blooms and charming details with the beautiful mountains and greenery of Canmore as the backdrop.

The couple's wedding planner, Jasmine Esau of Reflections Weddings and Events, dreamed up a stunning design, including a colour palette of blush, gold and champagne with touches of ivory and burgundy, to achieve the look Lindsey and Delmar desired. "We put an emphasis on the florals to create that ethereal and romantic feel, and paid special attention to the details such as chargers, napkins and specialty chair caps from Wildflower Linens," she explains. Lindsey says the decor fulfilled everything she had envisioned for her day and more. "Reflections Weddings created an atmosphere of romance, femininity, elegance and class - everything I had been dreaming of since I was a little girl!"

To fit the dreamy, fairy tale theme, Lindsey commissioned her cousin to create a gorgeous tiered cake inspired by Alice in Wonderland and topped with a dainty teacup. "She did the most unbelievable job. Its whimsical appearance blew us away!" Lindsey remembers.

While the day was filled with precious moments, Lindsey says that exchanging vows with Delmar was particularly memorable. "We cherish that moment so much because we got to declare our promises, hopes and dreams we have for our future as husband and wife," she says.

After listening to heartfelt speeches from their friends and family, the couple and their guests danced the night away. "If the groom splits his pants wide open dancing, you know the DJ was creating a fun atmosphere!" Lindsey laughs.
