Wedding Styling Ideas from the FRESHbash Event

Wedding Styling Ideas from the FRESHbash Event

via

We're winding down the week with some great wedding styling ideas for you to be inspired by as you head into a weekend full of wedding planning! FRESHbash, a thoughtfully curated showcase of interactive, on-trend exhibitions was created in 2015 by founding members Hailey of Two Roads Event Co., Carmen of Carmen Salazar Photography, Dena of Throne Invitations & Stationary Design, and Rosaura of Pigment & Parchment as a way to unite the creative communities throughout Northern California and inspire more elevated and exciting event design.

Danielle of Danielle Roe Events, who joined the FRESHbash team in 2016, tells us more, What started as a small cocktail party quickly evolved to become the collaborative, community building, design-bar-raising, kick-ass party that FRESHbash has become today. In 2016, Hailey, Carmen, and Dena took the reins, upped the production value, and further expanded the fresh community to include over 50 local businesses hand picked for their impressive creativity and dedication to design innovation. As it did the year before, FRESHbash 2016 sold out- this time with over 300 attendees.

Upon entering the bash, guests were greeted with hand-screened swag bags filled to the brim, the sounds of all-female DJ trio, Heart of Gold, and an incredible feast for the eyes. FRESHbash 2016 featured a custom perfumerie bar, a hands-on floral workshop by Scarlett and Grace and tons of unexpected thrills (including a live performance by the incredible LA Follies Dancers!). Guests, including industry creatives, engaged couples and design lovers hailed from all over the state for this year's FRESHbash, arriving on March 12th to be greeted by an incredible Alice in Wonderland-feel pre-party in a massive clear tent with stunning hedging, last used for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, courtesy of bash sponsor Celebrations! Party Rentals . The stylized bier garden pre-party, designed by Morgan of Spreading Lovely, featured amazing live band Cover Me Badd, beer and vanilla ice cream floats, a meatball bar, craft beer and bites by Federalist Public House, gorgeous hand crafted details by The Idea Emporium, and dreamy florals by Molly Ryan Floral. Central to the bash were four FRESHbash design competition teams comprised of an event designer, pastry chef, floral designer and stationer-artist, each challenged to build out a pop-up art installation that felt a bit like an interactive styled shoot, centered around thoughtfully selected trends that included; travel inspired details, dip dye/shibori, lucite, rose gold and jungle/palm frond themes. Team members were sourced from all over Northern California, hadn't worked together in the past, and were encouraged to push the design envelope by integrating fresh concepts and materials into their designs. Think lucite cake corners, viewfinder invitations, and installations made of hundreds of carefully folded paper and sugar airplanes.

Loving all the greenery + floral installments and boho details!

After voting to decide which design team had the honor of being crowned this year's FRESHEST, guests watched as design team winners Elise Events, Pop Calligraphy, Paper Heart Patisserie, LittleBoy Flowers received their crowns and awesome prize packages.

Such gorgeous cakes!!

Love this shibori photobooth backdrop!
