When it comes to crafting elegant designs with a whimsical twist, no one combines these two elements better than Kelly Faetanini.

For her 2017 spring collection, Faetanini turned to the Victorian era and channeled her penchant for modern details and exquisite tailoring to highlight this opulent time period. Lustrous satin, organza, and Mikado silks emphasized the collection's ultra-feminine, structured fit-and-flare designs, while Alençon and Chantilly lace injected a decidedly more delicate feel.

Joining the collection's figure-hugging looks were an assortment of equally timeless ball gown and A-line silhouettes - each with its own distinctive touch. Capturing this classic and uniquely chic look was a stunning blush ombre ball gown with a tulle micro-pleated bodice and horsehair hem and pockets. Blush wasn't the only colour making an appearance in the collection: gold accents and ornate embroidery also added a pop of drama and modernism to Faetanini's designs, which featured a lavish gold-accented strapless fit-and-flare gown, complete with a detachable gold embroidered skirt. Faetanini saved the best for last, showcasing the perfect blend of glamourous elements and whimsical detailing with a regal 14 carat gold hand-painted goose feather bodice ball gown, coupled with an voluminous ostrich feather skirt.
