Whimsical 'Sky Full of Stars' Wedding: Lauryn + Ryan

Whimsical 'Sky Full of Stars' Wedding: Lauryn + Ryan

Inspired by their love for the beautiful outdoors, Lauryn's desire for lots of green and candles and, most of all, Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars" - the song that reminds them of one another - Lauryn + Ryan's whimsical, rustic wedding is sure to inspire.

They worked with the amazing team at Amorology to bring that vision to life + entrusted Jessica Kettle Photography to capture all the details. Sheridan from Amorology shares, To create their evergreen wedding we created a place setting of plates and glassware that mixed gold, deep mauve, blush and burgundy tones on top of wooden tables and chairs resembling the strongest trees only found deep in the beautiful forest. Each place setting had a card designed by the talented Peanut Press Creative (who also created the couple's invitation suite) that read "Cause in a sky full of Stars, I think I found you" from the couple's favorite song. Beautiful soft blush table runners set the foundation for romantic florals by Twigg Botanicals. The centerpieces incorporated dahlias, anemones, and garden roses in different shades of burgundy, blush and ivory with plenty of greenery to go around. Candles and lovely fall pears were scattered down the middle of the tables to help set the romantic feeling for the evening.

Lauryn wore such a pretty Leanne Marshall dress, paired with a whimsical flower crown + shoes by Seychelles.

The most memorable moment of the day was probably being able to sit down with our loved ones at our wedding and eat food and just soak it all in. We felt lucky we got to escape the receiving line and rest our feet. We got to really enjoy the beautiful details of the design and eat some of our favorite foods and treats.

Lauryn says, One of our favorite places to visit together is Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is so charming. One of the times we went to Jackson we came across this Huckleberry soda that was so delicious it became our favorite. That inspired us to incorporate it into our wedding and we are so glad we did. We recently celebrated our first anniversary and enjoyed some Huckleberry sodas from the wedding.

Lauryn loves donuts (but, really, who doesn't?!), so incorporating them into the wedding was a must! Not only was there a gorgeous display of cakes from Sweet Lydia's, but Amorology also designed and built a donut display bar stocked with incredible donuts from Donut Bar! Behind the case stood a backdrop from Backup Backdrops with painted trees and the phrase "such a heavenly view", describing the setting perfectly!

Some advice to others planning their wedding right now is to enjoy the process, make it your own, and if it doesn't work out perfectly on the day of, just focus on all the other wonderful things that make your day special. I think the best thing about our wedding day was how laid back we were (at least I think we were). We didn't worry if something didn't work out exactly how we planned. I actually can't think of anything that went terribly wrong that day or not according to the plan. The only thing that I wish could have happened was that we had more time to enjoy this magical day. It almost rained many times during the day of our wedding, but luckily the rain held up for photos and we had a great indoor venue so we were inside when it was pouring rain outside. I thought the day was absolutely perfect. One other thing that really helped the planning process was that I had a great support team of my parents, sisters, bridesmaids, and husband. I think surrounding yourself with people who can help you achieve your vision of your wedding is really important.
