From the moment they met, Michelle and Elliot were on each other's minds. While their first date wasn't conventionally romantic, (Dairy Queen, a bowling alley and a strip club were the night's hangout spots!) they still managed to fall head over heels for each other. "Let's just say it was a unique date that will probably never happen again, namely the strip club. Thankfully it was my idea and not his," Michelle laughs.

For their big day at the Arcadian Loft and Court, the couple traded bowling shoes and soft serve for couture and gourmet cuisine. The pair chose a pink and gold colour palette for their celebration, combining elegance and playfulness for a stylish-yet-energized look. "We absolutely love the combination of the two colours. We love that gold is elegant and timeless and pink can be fun yet chic," says Michelle. Along with choosing the perfect colour scheme for their big day, the duo made sure to fill the venue with plenty of lush blooms like hydrangeas, sweet peas, garden roses and peonies in luxurious gold vases."We loved that we got married during an amazing flower season," Michelle says. "My bridal bouquet was made up entirely of soft pink peonies, which paired perfectly with my dress because they both had that soft and dreamy feel."

In keeping with the theme of timeless elegance, two massive inflatable pool swans were there to make a splash at the reception. "The swans made our Horah unique and the guests used them as props for photos," the bride says.

While the swans were a hit with the guests, the Oliver and Bonacini catering was a particular highlight. "It is hard to explain how great the night went without mentioning the food-especially since I'm in the culinary industry," Michelle says. With dishes like soy and lemongrass braised beef short ribs, five-spice-rubbed branzino and their famous fried truffle mac and cheese, it's no surprise that the couple's friends and family were big fans of the food. "We trusted Oliver and Bonacini's catering and they did not disappoint."

Despite the irresistible dishes served at the wedding, the guests still managed to leave room for the magnificent tiered cake complete with handmade sugar flowers to match the decor. One of the couple's favourite details, the creation was spectacular enough to steal the show and make a dessert table spread unnecessary. "It was the most exquisite cake I have ever seen," says Michelle.

Looking back on the day, Michelle and Elliot say it could not have been any better. "People always tell you that your wedding day will fly by and just enjoy every minute. They were right," says Michelle. "Our wedding day felt like a dream. The best dream we could have ever dreamed."
