One might argue that hues of burgundy + berry have never looked better than they do in today's stunning editorial, styled by Layered Vintage + captured by Whiskers and Willow Photography. Staged at the ornate Westgate Hotel in San Diego, California, this autumnal scene brings out elements of nature, bits of glam, and a lot of inspiration for a fall or winter fête!

The Layered Vintage team says, We dreamt up a palette of rich berry tones complimented with ornate gold details and lots of elegant lace. The wedding dress inspired many aspects of this inspiration shoot as we wanted a more traditional dress with lots of intricate details. The Eden by Claire Pettibone (from The Dress Theory) ended up being the dress of choice because of the lace cut out in the back as well as the design on the trim- which inspired our wedding cake by Cute Cakes SD...

What a gorgeous calligraphy suite by Type and Title!

And the hand-lettering was carried through different styled vignettes to create a sense of poetic romance. Layered Vintage says, Nothing is more romantic than lyrics of a song. Maggie of Type and Title was all over the idea of a long scroll backdrop for the ceremony. She chose the perfect Sinatra love song for our couple to stand before.

A dress as romantic as its surroundings!

We completely adore the florals + bouquet by the amazing crew at Native Poppy. So many great textures, branches + unique ingredients!

We fell in love with a floral and berry print dish set at Anthropologie and from there we were lost in glassware and blush striped linen napkins. One of our favorite details was mixing our vintage brass and gold bowls with Anthropologie's new but old candlesticks with little gold leaves and flowers. Forget vases. Floating the blooms made for our elegant and unique centerpieces, which incorporated beautifully with our freshly foraged pomegranates and persimmons.
