Today's shoot has my name written all over it. I love the styling, the flowers, the decor and the artistic style of the photography. It is edgy, eclectic, real and raw and juxtaposes vintage fashion with contemporary style beautifully. I love it!

The shoot features the work of Ryan from Shutter Go Click, whose photography style never fails to impress, and the wonderful , a wedding and events styling company renowned for their innovative and creative attitude to wedding planning. Together, along with a line up of incredibly talented wedding folk, they have illustrated how you can take a blank canvas space and really transform it into something very special.

Bethany of Mode20, the talent behind the shoot's concept and styling, talks us through this very cool industrial meets vintage shoot.....

Lambert's Yard is a wedding stylists dream; A blank canvas. This gem of a venue features stunning windows overlooking the Leeds city centre skyline and raw exposed brickwork and industrial steel railings. "Could it be anymore my style?" I ask myself... It embodies everything that our edgy, multicoloured industrial shoot stands for; Weddings don't have to be all frills, blush pink and castles, let's mix it up a little bit! Let's challenge the stereotypes and immerse ourselves in all things vibrant, contemporary and effortlessly cool.

This shoot should inspire all of us to break our own bubbles and dare to be bold. Leeds is fast becoming the go-to city in the UK, and is renowned for it's cutting-edge style, ever-growing student community, hip indie bars and exploding music scene. Our aim was to celebrate young British culture and embrace this up-and-coming venue by mixing multicoloured crockery, striking metallics, geometric shapes, beautifully clashing florals, on-trend cake designs, intricate whimsical gowns and clashing colours and textures.

This shoot involved a lot of DIY and up cycling, which isn't usually my style. Our hanging geometric copper shapes, vintage-inspired pale blue napkins, forest green mesh wire grids and intricate healing stones are all results of endless visits to the backstreets and alleys of Leeds, as well as B&Q and Hobby Craft. When I first had the initial idea for this shoot, I set myself a challenge; I would challenge myself and break-free from my own comfort zone, as well as expecting the same from the team around me. The result is spectacular, and just goes to show that sometimes breaking the rules can be truly satisfying and rewarding.

Our show-stopping gowns were provided by none-other than the beautiful Lauren from Lula Mae Bridal. We opted for modest and simple shapes whilst keeping the focus on decadent embellishments and intricate lace detail. The gowns we selected were very much inspired by the Golden Age of fashion, and gave plenty of nods to the glamorous and sophisticated vintage era. This shoot was all about clashing: Clashing textures, colours, trends, eras and styles to create something entirely unique.

We complimented the dresses by taking a modern, on-trend and glamorous approach to the models makeup and hair. Our incredibly talented makeup artists, Emma Worrall and Lauren Curtis, visioned three stunning looks for our model, Izzy Cosgrave. We settled on a warm smokey eye paired with an elegant brown-nude lip, an eye catching bold orange lip, and a swoon worthy pink-toned berry lip together with a killer winged liner. Our extraordinary hair stylist,, worked her magic by styling two incredibly unique and jaw-dropping looks. The first being bohemian inspired loose curls, followed by an intricate up-do complete with vibrant garden picked flowers.

The delightful Gemma from Lovely Pretty Things bespoke designed an ornate embellished gold wrist cuff, an alternative inspired gold hair piece and an undeniably stylish silver ear cuff for a hint of high fashion and contemporary-cool.

We were then ready to add an abundance of multicoloured and unconventional floral arrangements, provided by the unbelievably talented Alice from Forage and Blossom. She mixed raw foliage, garden picked hydrangeas and strikingly rich roses to create our phenomenal alternative look. Paired with our stunning multicoloured charger plates and goblets, by none-other than White House Event Crockery, as well as our intricate clear glass plates, ornate champagne flutes and gold cutlery; We had a killer look that was ready to shoot.

Ryan from Shutter Go Click captured the essence of my shoot beautifully, and I cannot thank him enough. His grungy and alternative style is a true-mark of effortless cool and modern insight, however his work stands to be truly timeless and elegant; Appreciated by all around him. Our videographer, Alex Ivory, was also there to capture the hard work and dedication of our team, and produced a stunning film everyone can cherish for a long time to come.

Our final touches were two trios of incredibly unique cakes by my beloved Keiron George Cake Designs. His work never fails to astonish me, but he truly outdid himself on this one. He combined juicy figs, meringue kisses, edible petals, rich chocolate, muted greys, bold oranges and cracked brick and splattered paint effects to achieve, what can only be described, as irresistible edible artwork. The gorgeous decor came all the way from the wonderful ladies at The Wedding of My Dreams, who championed my vision from the beginning and were paramount in bringing it to life.

Let's not forget our undeniably handsome groom, Phil Rhodes, who kindly donated his jaw-dropping tattoos and truly enviable cheekbones to our shoot. His suits were provided by a true gentleman; Ray from Stowers Bespoke, Saville Row, London
