Autumnal Sunday Woodland Walk - Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Autumnal Sunday Woodland Walk - Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

I feel like the past year or so has been a whirlwind and we've lost focus a little. I really want to get back to the simple things and a more relaxed pace. With having a new baby, A starting school and then planning our wedding in the past year, I feel like we've been run ragged. So I was determined to have a day away from the computer for a day of half term fun with the boys.

We went to the local garden centre for some Halloween activities followed by pizza and a walk in the woods. It's just what we needed.

The scent of fresh pines filled my lungs and the cold crisp air blew away those cobwebs. The sun set and it was just magic. Oh and did I mention that this is the first time we've been back to the spot where we said our vows to one another?

I also wore some new items in my wardrobe, I love Autumn fashion best. Anyone else with me?

My new jumper is by Boden and it's super cosy. My coat was a Mango bargain last year which has done me so well on many a damp and cold school run. I picked up some new comfy jeggings from Zara and my trusty Hunters are always my woodland walk footwear of choice.

I've brought A's last couple of winter coats from Boden now. And this one in particular has done him so well. It's cosy, warm and waterproof while allowing him to run around freely. Plus it washes well and I know it will still look good when it's passed down to W.

I think A had to put his socks on about 5 times hehe. Time to purchase some welly socks.

If you're at a loose end today go explore your local woodland. Go mushroom spotting (no eating thought as they can be highly poisonous), stick collecting and wrap up warm. Be sure to stick the kettle on when you get home and cosy by the fire. It makes the most perfect Sunday treat xo Lou
