Fairytale Dordogne wedding at Chateau La Durantie

Fairytale Dordogne wedding at Chateau La Durantie

Nestled in the Dordogne countryside, not far from the quaint French village of Lanouaille, you'll find Chateau La Durantie, the location for today's fairytale Dordogne wedding captured by Rory Wylie.

Surrounded by beautiful fields and hidden from the road by it's old walls and entrance gate, if only the Chateau could tell the stories of it's past.

Built in 1840 by the Duke of Isly, who served under Napoleon Bonaparte, King Louis Philippe and Napoleon III, the residence is rich with history and immediately impresses those that enter the grounds with it's grand frontage and lovely gardens, providing the perfect location for Mario & Stephanie's Spring wedding.

With Lavender & Rose flying in from the South of France to help Stephanie realize her dream design, an invitation suite and calligraphy signage by Shannon Kirsten, and romantic florals by French Flower Style, the scene was set for the couple's fairytale day.

After a relaxed morning preparing with her bridesmaids at the Chateau, Stephanie walked down an aisle of fresh flowers, and in the warmth of the afternoon sun Mario & Stephanie exchanged their vows and became husband and wife, followed by Champagne Bellini's with their guests and an evening of celebrations.
