Thinking of getting married in Mallorca? Well.. I'm pretty sure that Miriam and Christians beach celebration is going to have you scrambling to book flights right away. To be honest, the first image is exactly how I feel about this entire wedding. The sun, the sand, the happy faces, the sunset.. it's just a perfect celebration and so wonderfully captured by our new friends over at Hochzeitslicht.

"I met Christian for the first time at the beach Es Trec in Mallorca. We later spent many wonderful holidays there together. Several years ago it also became our dream to get married on this beautiful beach. We first visited various German hotels in search for our perfect wedding location but we soon realised that we would not be successful and decided to fly to Mallorca in order to look for the perfect location. And it was settled. We decided to get married on the very same beach where Christian and I first fell in love. From that moment on we chose the sea and the beach as our main inspiration for our wedding day.Our wedding motto was "love.sea.enjoy.". My bridesmaids wore turquoise dresses and all of our wedding decorations were white and turquoise. We also had arranged small presents for our guests: a special salt called Fleur de Sel from Es Trec, Majorcan olive oil, holders with our special wedding logo for the ladies' handbags and - because the wedding ceremony took place directly on the beach - flip flops for everybody. Our specially created wedding logo depicted Neptune and a mermaid. But instead of a trident Neptune was holding a spade. This was our own little twist because my husband Christian holds an arboretum.I also bought my wedding dress on Mallorca. The fish tail cut of the dress and the lovely material made me feel like a mermaid and was thus just perfect for our beach wedding. The dress was made out of a beautiful lace that looked like a very finely woven fishing net. For my accessories I followed the classic motto "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue". My mother lent me her pearl earrings and the antique pearl necklace I wore was a present from my stepmother (my dad remarried). As for the blue eye-catcher I chose a blue garter - a classic. For my bridal bouquet I simply chose baby's breath. With its soft small blossoms and just having it loosely bound with a small part of a fishing net it looked like just being pulled out of the sea. I decided against wearing a veil and instead had fresh white flowers attached to my hair.My shoes were quite extraordinary. I had found this gorgeous pair of Louboutins that reflected, depending on the light, all the colours of the sea and also perfectly matched my two bridesmaids' dresses. But during the wedding ceremony I decided not to wear any shoes at all! I mean, is there anything more relaxing and wonderful than to feel the warm sand of the beach underneath your bare feet?Christian and I are also great fans of James Bond. For our entry we chose the song "City of Lovers" from the Casino Royal soundtrack and Christian himself looked like 007, wearing a classic tuxedo plus bow-tie.Unfortunately we had not been very lucky with the choice of our wedding planner and the stylist that I had originally booked cancelled shortly before the wedding day. But our wonderful guests all made up for these unfortunate mishaps. Everybody was on their holiday and therefore the overall atmosphere during our wedding was extremely relaxed. Nobody had to rush to the ceremony, there were no ringing cell phones, everybody was in a great mood and right before the wedding ceremony we pampered our guests with cocktails and finger-food.Plus, every day was a highlight on its own. We celebrated our bachelor/ bachelorette party together with our friends and family on the island, had many dinners and trips to the beach together and best of all we could witness new friendships developing between our guests."
