A Game of Thrones Inspired Bridal Shoot....

via

Morning Peeps,

We are channeling our inner Daenerys Targaryen today (isn't she just all things powerful and sexy and don't get me started on her hair) through this fabulous Game of Thrones inspired bridal shoot, put together by make-up artist Clare Pinkney and featuring some awesome wedding suppliers such as stylist Charlotte Munro and fashion forward bridal boutique, Churchgate Porter.

The aim of the shoot was to incorporate the beautiful looks seen in Game of Thrones and transform them into something achievable for brides looking to imitate this style on their big day.

Clare tells us all about it...

This collaborative shoot derived from my personal love of the popular TV series Game of Thrones and also from current Boho Bridal fashion trends. As a make-up artist I have noticed the change in Bridal fashion including make-up and hair. Bridal clients are asking for more relaxed hairstyles and less structured. Plaits and different types of braiding have become very popular so I wanted to reflect this in the shoot.

The team created three different bridal looks - I wanted the colours to be soft with white, ivory and gold pastels. We began creating soft Boho looks which intensified in creativeness into a stronger direction.

I dreamt of a castle venue and Jeannette Lendon, a fabulous fashion photographer knew the perfect location for our shoot, an old ruin Sopwell Nunnery in Hertfordshire. We also captured a few of the looks in Jeanette's studio.

I was thrilled that Bridal Fashion Stylist Charlotte Munro from Miss Munro joined our team. She contributed her creative ideas to our mood board and introduced Louise Porter, owner of a beautiful bridal boutique in Sussex, Church Gate Porter. Louise chose the most stunning selection of boho bridal dresses to capture our "Game of Thrones" theme, my favourite being Edith by Maria Senvo.

Bridal hair accessories by Unfauxgettable Designs and Arcturus Jewellery complimented the looks perfectly.

Artistic florist Lorraine Issott from Wild Orchid Flowers understood the concept and created the most stunning floral pieces, introducing gold foliage and a candelabra centre piece to set the scene.

Braided hair, complimented by soft feminine make-up and strong brows....

Half up, half down hair with soft curls, make-up pretty, pastel shades - Peaches n Cream....

Strong hair up, almost avant garde, curled and loosely pinned with gold leaves, make-up strong eyes and a touch of gold leaf to finish the look....
