Lindsay + Patrick took the term DIY to a whole new level with their fun, handmade wedding at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, California. They crafted the wedding favors (adorable little jars filled with jam), fun flags for their guests to wave as they walked back up the aisle, utensil holders for the tables, bunting that spread across the entire reception space + so much more. Aside from being beautiful, their day was filled with all the things they love. And we think it'll be inspiring for other couples who want to create a celebration with a similar, homespun feel!

Lindsay says, We wanted our wedding to be about celebrating with our closest friends and family something so special - our covenant to each other. As a couple, we love people, the outdoors, & food! We had 250 friends and family, at a beautiful outdoor venue with oak trees everywhere, and ate some of the best bbq around! Patrick is great at building things- he made our wooden center piece boxes, the arch that we were married under, and all of the wooden signs. I love anything diy - so our 6 month engagement period was filled with making things for the wedding day...

Think a DIY wedding sounds like a lot of work? Here's some fun perspective on the topic from Lindsay, One of the best things about making all the decorations for the wedding is using them afterwards in your house! I saved all the bunting flags that were on the tables and hanging from the buildings to use for future parties, I had plenty of jams left over to keep giving people, all of the wooden boxes we saved and now use around the house for planters or decor, the deer antlers, the signs- the list is endless. there is so much we have left from the wedding that we now use!
