When Hayley Takes Photos, one cannot resist but to fall in love with her work. This dynamic creative sees the world in such an interesting way and we are so excited to share her work with you today. Jonathan and Nikita had a very alternative type of Cape Town wedding when they chose Truth Coffee to be their venue. To be honest, a jewel in its own right! We just love this venue and it suits the couple perfectly. See what the couple has to say about their special day.

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We went to the same high school, and were even in the same class for a few years. In
grade 11, we decided we liked each other and became boyfriend and girlfriend.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

One, very normal, Monday Jonathan said we should have a date night and wanted to
cook for us. When I got home, he opened the door to let me in, instantly I knew
something was going on. He was dressed smart and there were candles flickering in the
background.

He took me by the hand to the lounge where he hung bunting that said "MARRY ME?".
He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I cried, obviously.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Quickly cutting the cake because we sort of forgot to. Throwing the bouquet very badly
and then girls getting tackled. Dancing and partying the night away with everyone,
friends of ours have a band called 'The Coast', so for them to play for us was the best
ever. We gave them a list of songs we love, they did some covers & some of their
original songs. Definitely a highlight for us.

There's also something special about all the times your best friend is pinning your dress
closed.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

A chilled, relaxed Cape Town CBD wedding with Table Mountain in the background.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

There is only so much you can plan, so don't stress out. Ask someone to bring a safety
pin. And bring flat shoes, even if you think you are going to last all night in your high
heels. Spend more time with your guests in the Photo booth. If you can't get a
videographer, ask family to record the speeches.
