We know that many of you are recently engaged...or maybe are very soon to be? (Hello, romantic V-day proposals!) This means that your wedding planning will soon be underway + you'll be looking for the perfect place to say I Do! We think the venue you select is one of the most important pieces of your wedding puzzle. Not just any old place will do. Since we love unique + rad wedding locations, we've had a lot of fun working on our list of what we think are the Top 26 Coolest places to get married here in the US!

Whether you're looking to get married in a nursery, on a ranch, up in a treehouse, or at an old sugar mill or summer camp - no location is too out of the box! We have you covered with our list of the best below, so let's check 'em out (in no particular order)...

1. Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii

If you've dreamed of a destination wedding in Hawaii, but sandy beaches aren't exactly what you picture for the backdrop, you have got to check out Haiku Mill. An ancient sugar plantation filled with old world elegance, the venue features ornate, hand-picked treasures and is surrounded by fragrant jasmine and gardenia blossoms. The courtyard opens up to the the beautiful Hawaiian sky - reminding everyone of the beauty of the island. We can't get over the charm + uniqueness of the space and know your guests will be truly captivated by the romance of the setting.

We stopped by Haiku Mill during our last trip to Maui and walked the grounds with owner, SylviaHamilton Kerr. Her guided tour, complete with stories of the properties history, her plans for it and how she curated her collection of pieces and installations from places as far as flea markets across France made us love it even more. Truly a magical spot on a magical island!

2. Treehouse Point in Issaquah, Washington

We can't image a more unique (and amaze) location to tie the knot than a real treehouse! Treehouse Point (super conveniently located just 30 minutes from Seattle) is tucked away in a beautiful forest brimming with all of the beauty of nature that you can imagine. We love how the Treehouse offers overnight accommodations - can you imagine waking up in one?! Surely a one-of-a-kind experience for both you and your guests!

3. Sodo Park in Seattle, Washington

If industrial is your jam, Sodo Park in Seattle would make an amazing backdrop for your big day! Located in the heart of Seattle's historic SoDo district, just minutes from downtown Seattle, the space blends historical architecture with a modern, elegant feel that can work as a blank slate for any type of wedding style. We're personally obsessed with those exposed beams + the beautiful, reclaimed lighting fixtures!

4. Beaulieu Garden in Emeryville, California

There's nothing prettier than a garden wedding + that's why Beaulieu Garden in Napa made our list. Talk about a dramatic entrance, Beaulieu has a quarter mile drive lined with magnificent sycamore trees that create an elegant canopy all the way to the estate. Your guests will be blown away uponn arrival! For a beautiful option in the Napa region that's outside of the norm, we just can't get enough of this stunning place.

5. Union Hill Inn in Sonora, CA

With the key words "Rustic + Refined" often used to describe the setting at Union Hill Inn in Sonora, CA, we love its cozy feel for a wedding. Exchange your vows in front of the charming fireplace + book the Inn for exclusive use to make a fun weekend out of it! The venue is just a short drive to Historic Columbia, Sonora and Jamestown. Feel like day tripping? Yosemite and Lake Tahoe here you come! Whose guests wouldn't love that?!

6. Bear Flag Farm in Winters, California

If your venue vision points to a beautiful California farm, Bear Flag Farm should definitely be on your list. The idyllic farm is situated on thirty acres of lavender fields, fruit trees and vegetable crops. They also have a small batch vineyard which yields just three hundred cases of estate grown Syrah each year. Weddings on the farm are limited to a few per year, adding to the specialty feel of this beautiful place. Get your inquiries in early if you want to get married here!

7. Big Daddy's Antiques in San Francisco and Los Angeles, California

Big Daddy's Antiques in LA/SF is a of one-of-a-kind retailer of antiques and reproductions from European, Asian, and North American markets. Fun for a day trip to stroll around, yes, but lucky for couples looking for a super unique place for their wedding, they also hold weddings and have quickly become a sought after spot to say I Do!

8. Dunfillan Ruins at Kunde Estate in Kenwood, California

Nestled in the heart of Sonoma Valley, Dunfillan Ruins is our favorite location at Kunde Estate. Built in the late 1800s by a winemaking pioneer, couples can now marry within its historic stone walls for a wedding ceremony that's truly unique. Perfect for large events, the interior of the ruins can be transformed into a dramatic dining experience, while the surrounding meadows make for a stunning space to dine alfresco for the reception!

9. Huron Substation in Los Angeles, California

An actual Historic Cultural Monument in LA, Huron Substation is a super cool spot to get hitched. The building was built in 1906 and is the second oldest surviving substation in the city. We love the space's old brick walls, arched windows and steel beams! It's perfect for couples looking to include a little history and uniqueness into their day.

10. 440 Seaton in Los Angeles, CA

For couples looking for an urban warehouse venue in DTLA, 440 Seaton is a major fave. The 100 year old urban interior space includes a Cathedral-like atrium, giving you endless possibilities for designing your dream day. Its unique, rustic, + eclectic charm will set the stage for a memorable celebration!

11. Malibu Rocky Oaks in Malibu, CA

And the most breathtaking ceremony location? How about getting married in the hills of Malibu around vineyards on a hellipad?!? We've been to Malibu Rocky Oaks and it is seriously as amazing as the photos. A ceremony with an amazing 360-degree view of the Santa Monica Mountains makes you almost feel like you're up in the clouds! Followed by dinner on long tables next to the pool...we are total fans!

If you're going for a bohemian style wedding, there can't be a better spot to say I Do than Rim Rock Ranch. Built in 1947, the ranch was built to house stars and directors of dozens of cowboy movies filming in nearby Pioneertown during the 50s (um, so amazing, right?!). This property is comprised of four cabins, a house, an Airstream trailer and a modern suite on a beautifully manicured property perfect for weddings of all sizes year round.

13. The Ice House in Phoenix, Arizona

For a backdrop with wow-factor in Arizona, The Ice House is the coolest! (see what we did there?) As avant-garde as it is historic, the space began operations in 1920 as an icehouse for the food industry - so rad! Now, couples can tie the knot within its refined, industrial walls.

14. Dunton Hot Springs, in Dolores, Colorado

If there's one thing you have to know about Dunton Hot Springs it's that is actually a restored ghost town! Not only are the surroundings stunning, but you can rent the entire town for your celebration. Renting the town gives you exclusive use of all that Dunton boasts: the original Dancehall & Saloon, Bathhouse, The Pony Express Yoga Studio, The West Fork Boxing Gym, our very own open air chapel, two spa treatment cabins, and 12 hand-hewn luxury cabins, each unique in size, charm and character from the next. We say YES to that!

15. Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Thorncrown Chapel isbeautiful glass cathedral in the woods of Arkansas - making it an amazing fit for our unique venue round up and an unforgettable setting for your wedding. The chapel may look cozy + quaint, but it seats up to 100 guests in its 6,000 square feet of glass (with 425 gorgeous windows!). We are in love with it's one-of-a-kind, modern feel.

For those who haven't been to Montana, it's one of the most well kept secrets and breathtakingly beautiful places. With starlit skies and untouched wilderness, Paws Up Resort provides a scenic backdrop for saying I Do. Since it's claim to fame is the beauty of nature, any style or type of wedding will feel right at home at this stunning, picturesque setting. We love that they offer cabins and glamping for your guests as well as a ceremony outdoors, reception in a barn and rehearsal dinner outdoors by the creek.

We've visited several times and can attest that a few days of big sky country, outdoor activities + the tasty meals offered at Paws Up (as well as a stop at the spa) will rejuvenate any couple or guests!

Known as New Orlean's most distinctive location for weddings, Race & Religious can host up to 300 guests in its romantic historical compound. The unique indoor-outdoor space is comprised of two masonry homes built in the 1830s and provides a great backdrop filled with all that NOLA charm. To top it off, R & R would be perfect for destination weddings, because tell us one person who hasn't mentioned wanting to visit New Orleans!

18. Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, TX

Fusing Austin chic with Hill Country charm, we love the space at Vista West Ranch for so many reasons! The setting is a unique blend of rustic + bohemian, making it the perfect recipe for a romantic + memorable venue for stylish Texas couples. One of our fave things about this venue? Their wedding packages include all the important essentials, so you get to focus on the fun things, like food + decor!

A breathtaking choice for Minnesota brides + grooms, Mill City Museum provides a jaw-dropping backdrop for weddings + events. The striking structure was built on the banks of the Mississippi River, amid the ruins of an old flour mill. Major renovations have brought it back to life and the open, industrial space can accommodate up to 500 guests!

20. Camp Wandawega in Elkhorn, Wisconsin

It's no secret that we love a good camp wedding here at GWS, but one thing we noticed after a seeing a couple of them - some of our absolute faves took place at Camp Wandawega! Wandawega has played host to some truly notable events like creative retreats and even a Kinfolk dinner! The space is as lovely as it is inviting - describe your wedding as Moonrise Kingdom inspired? This place is for you! We love that you and your guests can stay on-site in a log cabin, teepee, treehouse or lodge! Pretty amazing, yes?!

21. Terrain in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania

Yes, we're talkin' bout Antropologie's counterpart, Terrain. Specifically, their ultra charming restored antique greenhouse, which is available for weddings both intimate + grand. Just as stylish as you'd expect, Terrain is one of our favorite backdrops and a great option for something unique for Pennsylvania couples!

22. Metropolitan Building in Queens, New York

It should come as no surprise that NY's Metropolitan Building made our list of coolest venues. With it's French-inspired decor and old-world charm, it's a space that we dream about on the daily! There are two floors with different looks to choose from and a gorgeous prop room, perfect for photo-ops. Whether you're tying the knot in NY or thinking of traveling in for a destination celebration, one thing's for sure: this space won't disappoint!

23. Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee

Tennessee plays host to one of our fave farm venues. The idyllic scenery and luxurious accommodations at Blackberry Farm will give your day an rustic, yet elegant, feel. The farm generates a range of heirloom produce + the farmhouse, built using reclaimed wood, is one of the property's most noteworthy features. We can see why! It would make for a perfect backdrop for a stunning wedding. Don't you think?

Sticking with farm weddings for a sec, our next venue, Claxton Farm, is a versatile and beautiful setting located near the NC mountain towns of Asheville + Weaverville. Weddings at the farm can be casual with a fun, laid back feel or with a little more effort can be transformed into a blend of elegant details enhanced by the natural setting.

25. The Ruins at Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Georgia

Barnsley Resort gives Georgia couples a unique place to tie the knot with its beautiful setting amid its awe-inspiring ancient ruins. The storybook setting makes for a fun change of pace to typical southern weddings + is the perfect place to host a wedding (local or destination) with an epic vibe + view.

Nope, you're eyes are not deceiving you! Although it looks like a little slice of Europe, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is conveniently located in the heart of Miami. A jewel among Miami's skyscrapers, they say. It's both beautiful + serene and would make a perfect backdrop for couples who want a wedding with a European feel if traveling abroad is not an option.
