Bride's Perspective: Maid of Honor Style

Bride's Perspective: Maid of Honor Style

We've been checking some of the big vendors off our list (like our photographer and officiant), which means I can start focusing on some of the fun, smaller details, like bridesmaid dresses! While I haven't made a decision yet on the exact dress my beautiful maids will be wearing, I do know that they'll be wearing cobalt blue. Our venue is a restaurant that used to be a fire station in the early 1900's, and was converted into a restaurant in the 60's. The courtyard where our ceremony will take place is surrounded by beautiful brick and ivy, and I know the pop of blue of the girls' dresses will look gorgeous against the deep reds and greens. Plus, jewel tones are flattering on all skin tones!

I've been looking at a lot of bridesmaid style posts on mywedding's blog for inspiration, and I thought I'd share some MOH style photos from my best friend's wedding last year. The bride asked us to pick out our own green dresses (with her approval, of course), and I love how the look turned out.

I found this green dress on Modcloth and loved it. I swapped out the navy belt for a beaded gold one from BHLDN and added a few other delicate gold accessories to finish off the look. You can check out my post on WTFab for a full list of accessories.

The wedding was beautiful and the Irish-inspired ceremony (hence the green bridesmaid dresses) was so special. The bridal party and bride have all been friends since high school, where we coined the name "Fab Five" for our group, which the bride had sewn into our clutches. Such a sweet gift for the bridal party!

I'd love to know, how are you styling your bridesmaids and Maid of Honor?
