A little romance for you this Wednesday afternoon in the form of a super sweet engagement shoot.
Aly and Jack headed to Leadenhall Market and St Dunstan's in London for their loved up images. They chose the locations as they are local for the couple and some of the spots are in the Harry Potter films (my fav!). These two have so much style (I am totally coveting Aly's polka dot shirt) and a lot of love.

On September 27th my fiancé Jack and I met Alice at Leadenhall Market in the city. We chose this particular spot because we live in the East End and Jack, indulging me a bit, knew that parts of the Harry Potter films were shot here and I'm a huge fan :-) We wanted a location that had character and was off the beaten path from more traditional London locations. 
Alice was really great at making us feel at ease with silly games and breathing exercises that made us feel connected and close. Both Jack and I were a bit self-conscious going in to the photo shoot, even though we already knew Alice - we had no idea how to pose, what our smiles would look like, if we'd have double chins etc. But our worries honestly disappeared as we began taking pictures. My favourite shots were the ones that caught us looking like ourselves - happy and comfortable. 
Though we came to the day a little nervous, Jack and I walked away having had so much fun. I would suggest that every bride do engagement shoots to get comfortable not just with your photographer but how you feel in front of the camera as well. Thanks again Alice - you were an absolute star! 
After Leadenhall Market we walked down to St. Dunstans in the East - a beautiful city park that has sort of grown up amongst a bombed out Sir Christopher Wren church with gorgeous greenery. Alice had a great eye here and caught light beautifully with some of my favourite portrait shots of the two of us.
