How to Contour for a Round Face

The good news about round faces? They're not very difficult to contour, thanks to their curved and prominently structured shape. Lucky you! But there are a few tips you'll need to help make your round face even more chiseled and well-defined:

Cheekbones

Using a well-angled brush, use a dark or tan shade to contour the area under the cheekbones in a few swift and generous strokes. This is to ensure the eyes are drawn away from the roundness of the jawline to the center of the face.

Forehead

It's an easy spot to forget about, but contouring the outer corners of the forehead matters in taking the focus away from the jawline. It also helps with definition.

Nose Area

Using the darker contouring shade, draw two vertical lines alongside the bridge of the nose and blend. Use a lighter highlighting shade, like Maybelline Face Studio Master Hi-Light in Pink Rose, to highlight the center of your nose and on the sides.

Blend all the contouring and highlighting shades with a brush so there are no obvious lines. The goal here is seamlessness, and upward and downward strokes are ideal.
