Know What You Want But Be Flexible

From the Bride: My dress? I wanted something off the wall. A champagne glitter/jeweled bodice with a trumpet skirt and a glitter themed wedding. Well they don't lie when they tell you the dress picks you. I had such a hard time finding what I had in mind that I gave up and put on a few dresses because the ladies at Poffie Girls persuaded me. Well, I put on my dress and I was speechless. It wasn't champagne and beaded... it was perfect.

My shoes TOOK FOREVER but I knew what I wanted and stuck to it. You don't realize how hard it is to find a white floral wedge until you're googling it for 5 hours. If it's something you know you want or if its something you are not sure of. Take your time.

Steal Worthy Idea

Use old soda boxes to hold bubbles for guests to blow after the ceremony. Fill some of the squares with florals to add a decorative element.

From Amore Vita Photography:
Marie and Eddie's DIY wedding was held at Angel's Cottage on the lake in Thomasville, NC. Marie spent hour upon hours crafting so many of her DIY details for her wedding. Everything from the guys bow ties to the ceremony details were made by Marie with the help of her mom and some friends.

Don't Do It All Yourself, Ask For Help

From the Bride: DIY or not! Get someone to coordinate your wedding! I had a wonderful friend help and she was something I never knew I needed until rehearsal dinner night. I was a big ball of stress and she took over and not only made sure everyone got down the aisle, but the day of, she made sure all my visions were on the tables and out and ready for guests to go googly eyed at.
