Oh to be as effortlessly chic as Tessa...

I love this engagement shoot from M&J Photography - it's just two people, very much in love, walking around their favourite city.

One of the first things Tessa thought about George was that he had a lovely grin and I'm sure after looking at these lovely images you'll agree. The pair make such and elegant and attractive couple - fingers crossed we get to see their wedding too!

Tessa The Bride: George and I met five years ago and started dating almost straight away. I thought George had the most lovely grin that I had every seen!

We got engaged in South Africa on holiday in February. We had had the most fantastic holiday and were visiting the botanical gardens in Cape Town which are absolutely stunning - they are in the shadow of Table Mountain and overlook the city. George seized the opportunity and got down on one knee and I of course said yes.

We then had a brilliant 72 hours of celebration! Eating fantastic food, drinking amazing wine and choosing my engagement ring. It was perfect as I really wanted a ring like my Grandmother's, and this way we could pick out the diamond and recreate the setting exactly.

We are getting married in May 2015 in Northumberland. Having been to quite a few weddings between us, we have quite a good idea of what we like and so choosing vendors was pretty straightforward.

We chose M&J photography as they had worked at my Cousin Charlotte's wedding and we love their romantic and ethereal style. We booked in the 'big' things early and that really took the stress off. It has given us more time to focus on the details so we can make the day as personal as possible.

George and I are really keen to have a relaxed and fun day that represents us as a couple. We are lucky to have a very talented and generous group of friends and family that are contributing. George's sister is a Michelin starred patisserie chef and is making our cake; one of George's ushers has a classic sports car that he is lending us; I have painted our invites and we have made litres of elderflower cordial and sloe gin. I now have an official addiction to Pinterest and wedding blogs!

Before our engagement shoot, I was really nervous so George and I went for a few gin and tonics to help me relax. George on the other hand was a complete natural and loved every minute! Jonny and Morgane are both so friendly and professional and really put us at ease, we could not be more pleased with the results.
