Natural & Rustic Daisy Filled Wedding

Natural & Rustic Daisy Filled Wedding

via

Oh I so love this dreamy light filled Summers wedding day and just know you guys will too.

Scott and Sallie married on the 3 rd August 2014 at Farbridge in West Sussex. They had a simple vision of a rustic and natural day which turned out to be super beautiful.

With a love of Daisies, Sally chose the flower to run throughout their day, from the pretty bouquets to the daisies embroidered on her bohemian dress. There were the sweetest little ones and Scott wore Levi jeans and a waistcoat for a really relaxed look. Perfect.

Thanks goes to Camilla Arnhold for providing the exquisite imagery today.

THE PROPOSAL | Christmas Day 2009, Scott surprised me with a Limo and we went for a drive in the country where he popped the question to the song I walked down the aisle to, it was quite a surprise!

THE VISION | Rustic and natural.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We slowly planned the wedding over about 18 months, we knew what we wanted so It was just a case of finding what we wanted and who we wanted to use, we were very lucky along the way and everything seemed to fall into place.

THE VENUE | Farbridge ,West Dean, West Sussex.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | I couldn't find what I had in mind and not being the best of shoppers, I found a dress maker Louise McIver, gave her my ideas of what I wanted and we put it together. I had a white cotton dress with embroidered daisies on the bodice and around the skirt, it was perfect for the lovely sunny day we had. This was teamed with some lovely jewellery that my parents gave to me, little daisy earrings with matching bracelet and a daisy necklace from Scott.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Scott is not a suit man so he went for Levis with a white cotton grandad shirt and a waistcoat, as did his Best Man and our Dads, they were all comfortable and looked great too.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | We didn't have any specific readings but the registrar read a piece about the relationship between a father and daughter, this was quite poignant as I have a very close relationship with my Dad, I don't think he wanted to hand me over!

It was all about the music, Scott and I compiled 2 playlists of all of our favourite music which were played throughout the day and evening, we then had a our favourite live band, The Move-Ons, we had our first dance to one of their own songs and they followed that with covers which everyone loved and the dancing went on until the end.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | I had my 3 Nieces as my flower girls, aged 2, 7 and 13 and my 3 Nephews as page boys, aged 2 and two at 5. They were all adorable in their matching outfits, the girls also had white cotton dresses and the boys in white cotton shirts with denim shorts, they had great fun running around all day.

THE FLOWERS | I picked Daisies as my main flowers just because I love them and they were teamed with Frecias, as these were my nans favourite flowers, and lots of foliage, they were so beautiful.

THE CAKE | We had a 6 tier cake of cheese which was then served as our evening food. Scott and I are both cheese lovers so this was perfect for us.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Camilla Arnhold. We met her at another wedding and after seeing the photos produced we knew we had to have her. We had our engagement shoot a few months before the wedding an d this made it so much easier and relaxed on the wedding day. We are so pleased with the photos and Camilla is such a lovely lady.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR |As Farbridge is so beautiful as it is, we didn't feel like we had to do too much to it, we had lots of candles, Scott and I made lots of wooden tea light holders and we had little wicker basket candle holders, large wicker balls with candles, hanging wicker hearts with flowers in them and just lots of flowers. We set games out in the garden which everyone enjoyed and we made a photobooth for a bit of fun.

We had a Hogroast for our wedding breakfast followed by Blubelle the vintage ice cream van for pudding, this was so lovely and Leanne is another lovely lady.

THE HONEYMOON | We had 2 nights in Brighton straight after the wedding to relax and have a bit of fun. We are off to Portugal at the end of August for a weeks break which we cannot wait for, relaxing on a beach is just what we need now!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | I keep remembering little snippets throughout the day, its hard to pick. The one that stands out was the Tina Turner tribute act that my best girlfriends performed, I had absolutely no idea that they had planned it, it was amazing, and has had quite

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Just enjoy the whole process of planning and the day itself, it goes by so quickly.
